1-3 Journal: Company Research and Selection The company selected for this project is Randstad N.V. The company is generally known and occasionally stylized as Randstad. The Dutch multinational human resource consulting firm headquarters is in Diemen, Netherlands. The company was founded in the Netherlands in 1960 by Frits Goldschmeding. Currently, the company operates in about 39 countries. The company's customer base is professionals, staffing, in-house, global businesses, and digital services. The company primarily serves companies and individuals. Randstad supports business productivity by finding the right people and matching them with great jobs. The company also handles custom project solutions and consulting. The business vision is utilizing innovative technologies and a passion for people to provide them with the best experience. Life has changed for us all; however, based on current events from the past year, one obstacle the company currently faces is talent scarcity, which affects the blue and white-collar employers equally. This obstacle will impact Randstad's revenue and market share tremendously due to the lack of employees. How can they add new hires when there is talent scarcity exists? One suggestion to help new hires is lower qualifications for prospective candidates. That way, Randstad will be enabling the pool of workers to a much bigger pool that will allow them to fill those positions needed. Existing hiring challenges damage the industry; setting the company apart to inquire more candidates is always a great look for the company.
