1. Which learning theory is most applicable to Redman's "How to Roll a Blunt" - differential association , differential identification , differential reinforcement , or modeling ? Explain your answer. Your response should include information on (1) who the behavior is learned from and (2) how learning occurs. The learning theory that is most applicable to Redman’s “how to Roll a Blunt” would be modeling. The behavior is learned from observing others especially those of influence. In “How to roll a blunt” the action of rolling a blunt is learned from observing someone else, like a peer, or friend, or an influencer such as Redman himself is doing. Learning occurs through many ways such as attention, retention, reproduction, and motivation. The attention is the learner paying attention to the modeler’s behavior in this case the person learning would pay attention to the step-by-step process of how to roll a blunt. Retention is when the learner remembers or retains the behavior, which can involve mentally rehearsing the steps. Reproduction is the learners attempt at recreating the behavior or demonstration that was shown. Motivation is the learner’s motivation to repeat the demonstration or behavior that was taught and the rewards or consequences with it. In the example of rolling a bunt the motivation could be to fit in with friends and experience cannabis.
