Tumultuously fumbling past the door, they ignored everything as their legs crashed against a side table; their lips hardly left each other as they settled in the warm apartment. She fumbled with the buttons on his shirt and he could not take his hands away from her hair. Excitement surged in their veins and taking a quick breath, Marcia and Wayan separated from each other, staring from their opposite ends of the couch.
She admired his ruffled shirt, wry grin, and the warmth that created by their art gallery date earlier that night. She smiled and said, “I think I love you”. He drank in her in all of her clumsy beauty and sighed back into a relaxed posture, buttoning up his shirt.
“Do you hear yourself?”
“What?”

I’ve heard you express love whenever we hang out, when you say you love this or that.”
“When I say that it’s tangible, I mean that I can actually feel how you’ve abused it. And I don’t mean to hurt you at all! It’s just that, we’ve had a lot of fun the past few weeks, but this is something I’ve noticed about you. I think it’s interesting, because we haven’t really got to know each other emotionally. And I want to get to know you emotionally.” He ended his spiel with another smile. Marcia remained on the ground. She thought to herself for a moment.“I get it. I’m not sure if I agree with you, but I think I’ve noticed it too…” She pondered past exchanges with her friends; she constantly used the term ‘love’ to reassure her friends and to reassure herself. She did have a habit of saying that she loved a lot of things, no matter how commonplace something was.
But now that someone else acknowledged this trait of hers, she wanted to think about this possible problem, and adjust her behavior. “How about we table this discussion for now? Thank you for telling me— I think it’s something I need to work on my own.” Marcia paused a moment, and laughed hesitantly. “I take it back, then.” They settled down, less uninhibited, and decided to relax instead of doing anything else Wayan’s statement lingered in Marcia’s mind. She was worried about the sincerity of her actions, wondering, Have I really caused the value of my words to
Should people put the value of life into monetary value or should life be kept solely as an emotional quantity? People and societies throughout the ages have been trying to answer the problem of putting the value of life into terms of dollar bills. The ancient Egyptians buried their dead with all of their worldly belongings. They believed a person’s monetary worth on Earth was over, and they should take all of that earthly worth with them to the afterlife. Modern day Americans are different from the Egyptians. Today people believe that the families of the dead should be compensated for “their” loss.

Diane Ackerman’s purpose for writing her essay “Love’s Vocabulary” is to inform the reader not to underestimate love since love is the great intangible and cannot be defined, but can be felt. The neutral and positive connotation of words such as “monotone” and “delirium” suggest Ackerman’s passionate tone about how love cannot be the same constant emotion that is felt everyday, but a powerful feeling that has many meanings since love is an emotion that is older than humanity itself. Ackerman’s use of figurative language, particularly metaphor and personification, reveal that Ackerman is trying to inform the reader that love is to intangible to be defined in a single word that is often used, which can also connect to her irritating attitude
“Confident in getting the reward, are you?” Quick sarcasm sharpened his voice. He wouldn’t apologize for it. In the past three days, she’d perplexed and annoyed him by stirring up debates over politics and the war, most of which ended in angry silence.
“I don’t think you understand what she is going. She is making objects in the town better. I think you should just let her do what she has to do.” I explained. If you let Amanda do what she doing everything would be fine, otherwise everything would be harder than it already it. Finally we started walking around the country, so we went back home.

“Ah,” said Strummer, and Gemma worried she had said something that would actually be useful to him. That was the last thing she wanted. “Then let’s talk about your inability to form relationships.”
Jemma and Fitz stumbled into her bedroom, lips were wet and hot against bare skin. Fitz had come back from a mission and got a little too close to injury. The past twenty five years have been brutal in regards to public opinion polls and the attention given to our public officials and their ethical standards. “Several have expressed the belief that our leaders are, at best, self-interested or, at worst, corrupt, thereby contributing to the problem. In addressing the public’s concern, some officials have attempted to explain this “unfortunate situation” by attributing it to a general decline in personal ethics, the inevitable result of increased power and luxury. Others have chosen to respond with stricter laws, detailed rules and regulations, and specific prohibitions or penalties to “solve the problem” by systematically institutionalizing ethics within the organizations over which they
“I’m sure she did it out of courtesy,” Ignis brushed off his friend’s observation. “Considering how impulsive she can be most of the time.”
He hungrily lapped at her juices. Her mind ceased functioning with absolute ecstasy. She hazily murmured his name and slowly
Her breath circled her, and the cold mist in the air clung against her as she looked around; her throat stung from breathing fast, her cheeks flushed, and hair damp. “Maybe. But now I just want to be with you.”
I was born and brought up in a traditional Catholic family in the southern state of Kerala in India. It is believed that St. Thomas the apostle of Jesus established the first church in Kerala as early as AD 52 ("Syrian Catholics of Kerala”). Raised in a Catholic family, the teaching of Christ was instilled in me from the very early age, and I believe that it motivated me to choose the nursing profession so that I could serve people in need. It is a fact that a majority of Christian families from Kerala will have at least one nurse. My personal values and beliefs can be equated to my religious beliefs, so I believe Christ as the healer, and I am doing what He taught being a part in helping patients heal with dignity. The Bible provides us with abounding examples of this, “Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease among the people” (Matthew 4:23). As a Christian nurse, I am called to carry on with the healing power of God to my patients.
The Merriam Webster's dictionary has many different definitions for the meaning of the word love. It can be defined as a strong affection for another arising out of kinship or personal ties, affection based on sexual desire, or affection based on admiration, benevolence, and/or common interests. To love and be loved is cherished greatly among my family. From the day that I was born I was granted with unconditional love by my family. These people that surrounded me with this love have taught me not only to love them, but myself and hopefully a special someone in the future as well.
Today there is a growing awareness of the need based education industry, business, politics and other spheres of human – interaction and activity. It is also being increasingly realized that value based education particularly is the best guarantee of ensuring and establishing valued society encompassing all segments of human endeavor. With the advent of numerous and technological inventions and discoveries, tendentious social changes have occurred, they contributed to material prosperity and gave us a new outlook on life. Along with these communalism, regionalism, separatism and fissiparous tendencies, rampant corruption selfishness, greed for money and material and inhuman violence have eroded the edifice of the value structure of the past. Distressed at these unfortunate developments Mahatma Gandhi the father of our Nations has said’ “Earth has enough for every man’s need, but not for everymans greed. “If this global trend is not stopped mankind would be doomed to destroy itself with the enormously powerful weapons of destruction created by technology. The only solution to prevent such a catastrophe lies in education. Value education should become the corner stone of the educational system and moral upliftment of younger generation which has started a few decades ago should be accelerated, strengthened and pursued with sincerity. Commitment and dedication, without any further delay, and before the
