I believe there are many skills and attributes that are necessary to an outstanding teacher; one’s ability to keep students engaged, the desire to see all students achieve, and knowledge of the content taught are attributes of an outstanding educator. An educator recognizes the importance of reaching each student in the classroom and keeps learners engaged. Students often learn at different levels and it is essential that a great educator knows his or her students well enough to understand what instructional activities best engage each student. One student may understand the presented material by watching a video clip, but another student may need a hands-on activity to comprehend the lesson. An outstanding educator recognizes how each
Outstanding teachers posses the following skills and or attributes: The ability to adapt to any changes that may occur, The cognitive skills to think quickly and logically, The virtue of patience to handle the repeating of information for those students who may not catch on quickly and finally The passion of teaching others to be better learners and the ability to listen and analyze the emotional, physical, and mental state of the students . Truly good educators remember that the image they exude is the example that is set forth for their students. A teacher provides high expectations for the students as well as his or her self to creates a positive atmosphere.
An elementary educator also needs to have a wide personality. By “wide” I mean they should be prepared to multitask, learn not to get distracted easily and really know how to connect with children. Teaching a child is not easy, so they need to demonstrate self-control, concern, independency, tolerance, and flexibility. A good teacher is known as a teacher who is willing to help others and learn how to cooperate.
There are many characteristics that are necessary for teachers to have. First, it’s important for teachers to be vastly knowledgeable about their subject matter. Teachers need to be enthusiastic about whatever they are teaching, especially if they want to sustain students' interest. If the teacher isn't interested in the subject, why should the students? Educators should always be willing to learn all they can about the content in which they are teaching—making the content as relevant or interesting as possible. Another characteristic that is vital in a teacher is having respect for students. Showing respect towards students means valuing each student’s ideas and opinions. It also means exemplifying respect for
Outstanding teachers are respected by students, faculty and families and are professional when performing all duties and communicating with students, faculty and families. When dealing with families a teacher must be understanding and empathic of students' diagnosis and family life challenges. An outstanding teacher needs to be open-minded to others ideas and theories and to changes. You also need to be consistent to provide stability to your students, as well as know the content that you are teaching. An outstanding teacher has to be able to be organized, patient, ask for help and participate in professional development to learn new techniques to grow and learn and stay up to date with new findings. An outstanding educator needs to encourage students to push themselves, reach their potential, show them that you have confidence in them and give them acceptance to be who they are, inspire students by showing them a love for learning so that they will have a love for learning and being in school and a teacher needs to have drive and passion to make students reach their full potential and putting in extra hours to make sure your students are
Outstanding teachers know their stuff! They know what they are teaching and how to teach it so that students will understand and be able to use their knowledge in multiple contexts.
To be an outstanding educator you need to possess many important qualities. The qualities I believe are the most important are flexibility, creativity, and passion. The teachers I remember and relate to the most have those qualities. They are the areas that I believe I have strength in and the areas that will benefit my future students.
High-quality teachers will find ways to engage each and every student. Students learn best when they are engaged. A great teacher knows her students well enough to know what instructional techniques and activities best engage them. When a teacher uses a relevant video clip to explain a difficult concept or specifically crafts active lessons
First and foremost, an educator’s commitment should be to the student. She should be caring, honest, and fair. She should be clear and concise with policies, always maintaining control of her class. She should build up not break down. She should explore ways to enhance the learning experience so that her class does is not lost in a sea of boredom. She should be diligent in giving her students the best of what her field of study has to offer.
What is an effective teacher? Is it a teacher who is caring, compassionate, warming, and personable? Or is it a teacher who is good at planning, works well with other teachers/administrators, and self-disciplined? Many people would say that these qualities and characteristics would make an ideal teacher, and they would be correct. But these qualities alone are not enough to be considered an effective teacher.
In “The Gestures of Grace” By: Alison Melotti-Cormack, she talks about what she believes makes a good teacher. Some of the qualities of a good teacher has is a passion for learning, connect with the students, evolves over time, and learns to accept the “bad” students. She also believes that teaching is all about learning and the gestures of grace. Melotti-Cormack’s main point/message is to just listen. She say’s this because from listening to her students she has been able to learn life lessons that she uses to help her students.
There are many qualities and skills that make a good teacher, some I have is my dedication, time keeping skills, reliability and being responsible. I think my dedication is my best quality because it is important to be passionate and committed to what you’re doing, if you are then you will do a better job and create a positive atmosphere, the children will sense that you want to be there and help them. One thing I could work on more is my compassion and and how I comfort an upset child, I am getting better as I get to know each child

become successful. A good teacher plans with intention with all these things in mind to communicate the content of lesson to the psyche of the learner. A good educator is transforms themselves and those they serve to reach their loftiest goals.
I believe that teaching excellence comes from two different things, dedication and the desire to help others. Teachers who are dedicated to their students and classrooms are definitely going to be excellent and never give up at what they do. Teachers who have a great desire to help their students and their career will continue to do everything they can to make sure their students receive what is needed. The two characteristics that make an excellent teacher are dedication and the desire to help others.
