Also, to provide documentation as to why all Soldiers are not present at PAI.

Account for all assigned or attached Soldiers on the AAA-162 including all Soldiers not present at formation. Categories include, but are not limited to: hospitalized, leave, TDY, AWOL, confined, pass, permissive TDY, sick in quarters, missing, and attached to another unit.

(2) S1 - Notify Group S1 of the scheduled PAI date.

(3) S1 - A Soldier from the S1 will be assigned a company and will work alongside the company Training NCO’s to ensure that all appropriate documentation is on hand to conduct the PAI.

Verify each Soldier’s name, rank, and SSN with the AAA-162, utilizing the Soldiers CAC Identification Card and have Soldiers initial by their name. Soldiers must also verify that their deployment non-availability status and reason codes are correct.

(4) S1 – Submit all transactions in emilpo and print a clean AAA-162 for the Commanders to sign and forward to Group S1.

(5) S1 - Turn in completed DA Form 3986-R, AAA-162s to Group S1 within 5 days of the PAI.
