A metaanalysis of 8 studies that analyze the use of text-messaging interventions on continued adherence to antiretroviral therapy (ART). The 10-page research found that treatment groups which received text messages were more likely to remain compliant with ART compared to control groups that did not receive text-messages. The study elaborates that intervention programs that texted less frequently, but contained content tailored to the recipient’s individual needs, were more likely to be successful. 3.
