What I thought about the first quarter was easy because it was the first quarter and the second quarter is going to be harder. The lunch was the same from last year but a few more items. And last year i only packed, now this year i only buy. My grades are falling apart. My year is going good and it’s pretty fun. I’m not really working on my goals because i forgot them. But I am doing better on my homework. The one big difference from this year to last year is that my day feels shorter than last year, by alot. My thoughts and feelings so far on the 8th grade is that it’s going to be fun and enjoyable, also short. When I was reading the letters from other 8th graders, alot of people said that you are lucky to be top dog’s in the school.
Life is different in many ways. There is much more homework and sports responsibility to handle. Lunch is pretty much the same except that I had a clue of where to sit this year. Classes seem to go by faster. Although we do have more homework, I give 100% effort. 1st quarter was mostly easy. I received good grades and did all of my homework. I like LA extra credit and the 3% added to my science grade. I have good friends, great teachers, and I’m having fun. It is sometimes scary to think that I will be driving in less than 3 years! The goals that we created are going good. I am nailing the grades and no ACE parts. The 8th grade is very different
My year being a seventh grader has been filed with great experiences and growth. I was pushed to being the best I can be by my teachers and wonderful classmates in all of my classes. They did this by explaining to me how to make my work stronger and how to make me writing in my depth. This year has given me plenty of opportunities for my future.
This year has been one of the most significant of my life so far. I feel that about every year, but I think that 2016 is a record breaker. I’ve gotten my anxiety more under control, and I feel confident and comfortable in my skin. School-wise I’m still a mess. I’m still trying my best but not doing as well as I hoped, but soon all these grades will be meaningless and I can finally be free.
Many people endure three years of middle school and four years of high school. It is an eventful time for children between 11 to 18 years old. During the adolescent years there are hormonal changes, environmental changes and emotional developmental gains. Middle school is the beginning of transitioning towards independence under the constant eye of adults. During high school they are challenged with real-world challenges that help them transition into adulthood. The behaviors of these individuals change as the factors change around them. For every person, the experience of high school or middle school may be different. Either way, both have the same goal of wanting the student to succeed and evolve. Even so, the similarities and differences vary. Middle school and high school are alike in the areas of receiving an education, socializing with others, and having teachers while different in areas of maturity, difficulty in work, and independence.
This year felt different. I made real, good friends that I thought would last until at least until high school. They felt like family to me, and talking to them every single day in class was something I never thought would really end so soon. Of course, the world does not revolve around the lives of seventh graders and keeps on going.
In The Namesake based on the book and movie by Jhumpa Lahiri, there are several events and scenes that are interpreted differently throughout the film and book. The book is based on Gogol Ganguli, the son of immigrant parents Ashoke and Ashima Ganguli who struggles with his double identity and rebellion towards his family. The movie is quite different with its focus on the parents and their relationship more than Gogol, the main character. The characters in the book that are portrayed by the actors in the film are very important because it subtracts and diverts the focus of Gogol’s struggles who is the heart of the novel.
I hope you're school year is off to a great start of your school year. My third week of school at Chinquapin is now starting and it has been different VERY different from public school. There have been some adjustments that I’ve had to get use to like having 3-4 hours of homework every night and being away from home. However, from these two weeks I’ve learned a lot from doing chores and learning life skills to being in the classroom learning about the current events in Latin America.
8th grade is about change. This year has meant the world to me. I lost a friend, and gained so many more. My teachers were wonderful and kind, making the year that much better. 8th grade, to me, means something along the lines of a foreshadow. In four years, this cycle will repeat. Every year that I get older, these grades mean more than just grades. They become signs.
Many differences and similarities occur between the years seventh and eighth grade. Whether it be dreaded homework, school rules and restrictions, or valuable time and schedules. Both grades are essential to a student's education, but do the differences make a huge impact to the person?
Next year is my last year at Ingersoll Middle School. This thought is bittersweet because although I will miss being at Ingersoll Middle School I will be very excited to be going to Canton High School. Some of my expectations for 8th grade are that the teachers will be very nice and that next year will be
As a new middle school student, I am put through challenges everyday from teachers. From homework to quarterlies, there is a pile of assignments. This can be new for some students. It is still new to me, and I have had it for over nine weeks! There are many differences between the middle school and elementary school.
Many differences occur between the poem, “The Passionate Shepherd to His Love” and “The Nymph to the Shepherd.” These differences are mostly with themes, imagery, and diction. “The Passionate Shepherd to His Love” was written by Christopher Marlowe and it was the first written of the two poems. “The Nymph’s Reply to the Shepherd” was written in response to that poem, but it was written by Sir Walter Raleigh.
I am feeling nervous for my 8th grade year! This is mainly because this year will be the last before high school.
When I first started 8th grade I wasn't really looking forward to it. Honestly I just wanted to stay home and cover my self with my blankets, and sleep all day because I didn't think I was ready for 8th grade. The first day of 8th grade I was scared out of my mind and so nervous that I felt nauseous and yeah it sounds kind of gross but it's the truth, but the first day ended up going pretty well. So I thought I would be fine the next morning but although the second day also went well I felt the same way that morning as I did the day before. For the second day of school we had music so I got to see a couple of my friends that were in the other class so that helped me get through the day, and the teachers are great so that's a good thing. The
