Technology has brought us nothing more than negativity toward people. The first effect is health. technology affects individuals' exercises; so children become lazier and are most likely not motivated to work out. Along these lines, numerous health issues like obesity are brought about by the effects of technology. The second impact is communication. Ironically children don't have the chance to socialize with each other in person. They’re wasting their time using electronics instead of exploring the world and developing human nature. In addition, individuals lean toward using communication devices than collaborating in person.

It is explained that past studies were conducted in a time when only video games and TV where the norm and that the advent of smartphones and tablets requires further research. The researchers thus conduct a self-reported survey on 2,620 children from ages 8 to 16 asking their use time regarding common devices including iPads and laptops. The finding was that children ages 8-16 are for the most part exceeding the limit time but the use of the devices and type of use differed depending on the sex, age and even grade of the child. The study also goes into great detail on the fact that schools are more and more embracing technology. This source may be somewhat useful for my paper. Teachers and schools use many strategies by using electronics at school like monitoring what they a researching and having restrictions. This prevents them from getting distracted or getting on social media. Using this technique helps students not get off task even cyber bullying at school. Parents have also come up with techniques at home like limiting their time or checking their social media accounts. Using electronics in class gives those students who are visual learners. What can be done to try to compress these possible effects on children? The answer may not be found too far from the surface, but it is a simple and effective solution; technology should be used in moderation with developing children. The impact of technology in the 20th century is growing and benefiting numerous amounts of people to make their lives easier; sending an email, scrolling through social media, and reading newspaper articles can all be done in one device. With more advanced technology in the future, this is troublesome for many young children. Since children are becoming more attached to technology, this can lead to numerous factors that can defect the development of a child. In this case, technology not only affects a child’s psychological development but also their physical and social development. Provided that, as the years progress I have seen that less children are playing outside or playing sports with their friends, instead children are getting addicted to playing games or watching videos on their latest device. Parent’s are contributors to their children’s addiction and are not realizing that it is affecting their children’s development, therefore adults must educate themselves and most importantly their children to decrease the amount of time of technology usage. I believe that a decrease in technology usage will benefit numerous of people, such as a healthier lifestyle.

Technology is becoming more of a dependent in people’s lives. Everywhere someone goes, there will likely be more than fifty percent of people there on a digital device. People are usually always seen with digital devices such as; smart phones, tablets, and laptops. This is slowly making its way to younger generations, including infants and toddlers. Now, with growing times, children are getting into this habit of always using a digital device as well. Digital devices are being used for entertainment, tools, and communication. Children are given a digital device for either entertainment, learning, or just to keep them quiet. It is really up to the parent for what the device is being used for. Children who use digital devices at a young age with parental or teacher supervision may contribute to an increase their own ability to learn.

Humans live in a society where there’s a television in every restaurant, a computer in every classroom, and smartphone in every person’s hand. This new rise of technology affects all types of people, especially young children. Teachers and educators all around the world embrace technology because they believe that children gain academic benefits from it, leading to a smarter and more educated world. While having access to screen time as a young child can help them sharpen their brain skills, many parents know that the harms outweighs the benefits. They know that an extended amount of screen time leads to physical and psychological damage in their children, all while impairing their social skill and actually decreasing academic performance.

As you know everyday a person wakes up and goes on their device to check anything important. But for a child they wake up and like to sleep in or proced their day by going on the cellphones. Notice that I did say they go on their cellphones in the morning once they wake up. Well, back then before devices and technology children did have more interaction with the outside. Televisions and computers have seemed like this generation's babysitters, but these electronic tools are more than what they seem. They seem like distractions both for child and adult, but electronic tools are vehicles for brain development and learning. Technology saturation might have been considered a leisurely diversion a generation ago, but now, tools like computers, tablets, and smartphones are as indispensible as pens and paper.
