Before man, there was a harsh winter. All the land of the earth was buried in snow, and all the oceans were covered in blankets of ice. There was there a very crafty creature above the rest who stored food beforehand. She had fur which covered her eyes, and a hunched back making her taller than she was wide. Basically, she looked like a lump with fur. Now, the creature had children which only varied in height. They were much smaller than she was and were still growing. The children were well fed by the mother who cared much about the children’s survival. So much so, that she would die to have at least one of her children survive. Unfortunately, the other creatures of the earth weren’t so lucky. They have not listened to the warnings …show more content…
“Do you have a source of food”.
“No,” the creature uttered. “Go away now”.
The wolf, looking closely at her movements, knew she was lying. He did not want any problems with her. So he turned away, put on an angry expression, and walked away.
Days continued with the creature going through the process of lying to the other animals who thought she was a friend. She did not even feel bad for any of these creatures. In her mind, she thought they were foolish for not listening to her. Any care of the other animals held by the mother creatures was at minimal. All there was to feed and protect were her children, and her children only. When survival comes it is her children that are going to survive.
When alone with her children, she began to think of how amazing it would be when she sees her grandchildren being the top ones walking the earth. She imagined how all animals of all around had to beg them for refuge, for they will be the aptest at survival. These thoughts caused the creature great joy as the creature was watching over her children. Then, her mind was abrupted by a howl. She then proceeded to hide her children and see what was it that caused the howling noise. As she expected, it was the wolf. Next, a long stare between the two occurred. Finally, she started

She saw how all the other families were going through misfortune. For a while, she felt kind of bad, but then she thought about her children. This made her feel very proud of herself. Those misfortunes suffered by other families became a good thing to her once again
At home, the children were alone with one another. They heard a something slowly creeping towards them. It was the wolf. Not just any wolf, a wounded wolf. He looked at them with a terrible smile on his face. The children were in fear. Meanwhile, the mother creature was coming back from her various whereabouts. She heard cries from her children. As fast as she could, she ran there and saw the wolf mauling at her precious children. At this time, the children were already dead and there was blood dripping from around the wolf’s mouth. The wolf then ran away into the wilderness with the family’s
The narrator then gets up and walks outside, and then the unexpected happens. “…The changing” takes place in the husband. His change makes it to where “the hair begun to come away all over his body…he was white all over, then, like a worm’s skin…” This continues the idea that not everything is exactly as it seems. The wife was in shock since her husband “turned into the hateful one.” The “thing my [the wife] husband had turned into” then howls “a crazy, awful howling”, which can be thought as the yelling a human does. This creature is then told to be a “man thing”, or man, who “had no gun, like the ones from man places do”. Men who hunt wild animals will most often have a gun or weapon for defense, but since this man had no weapon he “picked up a heavy fallen tree branch in its long white foot.” This startles the wolf family because the mother “knew the man would kill” the wolf puppies. The wife knows that her husband would never be so cruel to his kind, but she now knows that her husband is not a wolf. He is a strong man who is ready to kill if it’s
She helped them as much as she possibly could, except when it came down to the dirty part of the job. She could not handle killing the innocent horses strictly for the use of food to feed the foxes they were raising. She felt weird when it came to this, not as if she was afraid, but she described h as a "new sense of wariness, a sense of holding-off in my attitude to my father and his work" (1011). She said, "I felt a little ashamed" (1011). This was the point in the story in which you could tell that her attitude started to take a drastic change. It was like her beliefs were different these of everyone else in her family.
He heard another sound and this one had sounded a lot more different. It sounded like paws, but these were a lot more heavier than the wolves. He stood there frightened not knowing what to do so he did the only thing he thought was wise. He ran like his life depended on it which it did. The sounds that he can hear were the wolves paws and the paws of another animal that he was to scared to even find out what it was. All of the sudden he was trapped between the two large trees that are close together and he was panting from all the running he had done to get away from the animals. All of the sudden,he had felt
“I am hungry.” The Wolf cried, licking the last of the boy’s blood from his jowls. “I want to feed again.”
Behind me, I could hear its claws scrapping against the cold hard concrete. The sound of claws on the sidewalk was like nails on a chalkboard. With one of his paws, that was the size of an adult male grizzly bear; he swiped it at me feet, like a cat playing with a mouse until the cat gives the tiny, innocent, field mouse a heart attack. I lost my balance and staggered a couple of feet, before I felt him place his paws on my back, forcing me to the ground. Now that I was kissing the ground, the wolf gave out a satisfying snort, and gingerly removed its paws from my back, but I could still feel his presences standing over
In Wolf Story, Wolves Portray the Positive Side of Human Nature Despite their fearsome reputation in classic children’s stories and fairy tales, wolves also represent positive human traits. For a very long time, wolves get bad rap due to their fearsome and villainous reputation in classic children’s tales such as “The Three Little Pigs”, “Little Red Riding Hood”, and “The Wolf and The Seven Young Goats”. But in Lugthea Pelissier’s book The Amazing Adventures of Spear & Shadow (AuthorHouse, 2015), they become the characters children will love and not fear.
While walking thru the forest , something with a coat white as snow dotted in front of me i grabbed my knife from its sheath but, then i realized it was okulu a wolf that i have known since the day i was born i quickly put away my knife,”What did you think i was?” she said.”I thought
When his eyes opened, he laid eyes on his new life long companion to-be. Over the course of the next few months Wolf and She-Wolf did everything together. They hunted, they ate, and they laughed, and thanked the Moon Goddess for each other. Then a changed came over Wolf. He became weary of She-Wolf’s presence and appearance, for She-Wolf was not fair. Her fur was a dirty gray, her eyes wide apart. She was not appealing in the site of Wolf. Wolf could not find the privacy and freedom he once had. Wolf thought to himself, “I must find a way to rid myself of She-Wolf. She has become a thorn in my side and is too hideous for me to lay my eye upon her.” Wolf then attempted to sneak away in the night. He traveled deep into the inland and stayed hidden. Wolf did not stop until his legs held the strength of twigs and then he rested. Nevertheless, when he awoke lo behold it was She-Wolf. She had followed him. This was the last straw for Wolf. At this time, Wolf culminated a hatred for She-wolf and devised a plan for her murder. “If she will not leave me,” Wolf said, “she will leave this Earth. I wish she were gone. I wish I had never asked for her.” It was at this moment that Wolf remembered Snowy Summit-less Mountain where he had wished for her. That night, Wolf led She-wolf to the mountain. “Where are we going?” inquired She-Wolf. “We are going to a very special place, the place I wished for you. This place is magical and it will

The wolf replied,“I am looking for my young cub who, was missing. I am afraid that he is not alive, but rather was killed by another cruel beast.”
The thick bushes with their leathery green leaves, and twisting branches, were a tangled growth well over the height of her head. She had moved halfway up on a mountainside. Now, the ravine the creek was in was narrow, and steep all the way down to the water. It was very hard to see any distance ahead of her while walking in the heavy cover. She was following some sort of game trail that skirted the side of the mountain but away from the openness of the stream. She turned a corner and started down a gradual slope when something dark caught her eyes on the trail ahead. It was two black bear cubs rolling around and wrestling with each other. She stood and watched their comical antics and couldn't help but chuckle at how much they looked like little children who teased and poked and chased each other in play. One cub would wrap its arm around the other's neck and chew on its ear. Then the victim would break away and circle right back to jump on the back of its sibling. All thoughts left her mind for a few moments as she saw them play in their wild home. She had never been so close to animals like this before and was riveted in place by fascination. Then Christopher got restless, cried aloud, and suddenly both cubs stopped playing and looked towards her. When they saw her standing there, they became alarmed and separated. Each one ran up a separate tree by the path. Once in the trees they looked her way and then bawled loudly. It was a noise that sounded like a deep "Maaww,
Wolf lived with his mother at the edge of the forest. Every day, his mother taught him new lessons to prepare him for the day he would join the pack of wolves. She had taught Wolf to growl to scare away enemies and to bark to warn friends of danger. She had even taught him to whimper like a puppy to let the pack leaders know he would do what they asked. But when Wolf’s mother tried to teach him to howl, he resisted. He did not want anyone to hear him.
Behind her, a scrawny, undersized wolf lay, still asleep. Even in his sleep, he looked worried and morose...dejected, or maybe even rejected. She could tell how matted his pelt was even through the gloom, and she could see the ribs portrayed from underneath his thin, patchy pelt. She used to sleep next to her, when she was very young. She used to pretend that everything was okay. But now that she knew it wasn't, she didn't make any effort. He wouldn't notice anyways. He won't care.
Meanwhile, Red is entertaining herself catching butterflies, and picking flowers she thinks her grandmother will like. Concurrently the wolf rushed straight to grandmother’s house and knocked on the door. Grandmother, not expecting anyone asks who is there. The wolf using a much higher pitched voice claims to be Little Red. Nevertheless grandmother- while not feeling good doesn’t realize that that voice doesn’t match Little Red’s- tells the wolf to come in. The wolf barges in scaring the poor, ailing grandmother so intense she faints right there on the spot, not even having time to scream. The terrible wolf wasting no time hastily gobbling down grandmother. Hurriedly before Red could get there, the wolf changes into grandmother’s clothes, and dives into the bed. No more than twenty minutes later there is a knock on the door, the wolf knows exactly who it is. As he lays in bed, he calls in a deep growly voice for Little Red to come in. When Red enters, she is shocked into silence. “Grandmother,” Little Red calls, “are you
On a tall, faraway mountain named Mount Kadar, there lived wolves that were never apart. As they howled, rested, and helped together, they sticked together to make a happy family and were in peace. Then all of the sudden, the leader of the pack howled. This was either a good or a bad sign. The wolves followed their leader to the leader’s home and found out that the leader was going to be a father. His beloved wife had a baby wolf. With no interruptions, the wolves howled out to celebrate the newborn wolf. The pack was happy to see the newborn wolf.
