Many people’s actions led to Romeo and Juliet’s death, but by far, the person whose action ultimately led to the death of Romeo and Juliet is Friar Laurence. There many reasons as to why Friar Laurence is to be blamed for, but the two main reasons are because of him marrying them so that it can end the feud between their families (which it does, but with a cost) and a plan that he proposes which probably was not thought through well enough. Moreover, these are my two reasons as to why Friar Laurence is the most to blame for the death of Romeo and Juliet.

There is one question that is asked now; who is to blame for the deaths of Romeo and Juliet? Friar Laurence is to blame Romeo and Juliet’s death. The Friar had good intentions, but sometimes the right decision is not always the best.

Friar Laurence is a Franciscan friar who aids both Romeo and Juliet throughout the whole play. Choices he made determined the outcome of the play and had he made different choices, the play may not have ended the way it did.

Doth with their death bury their parent’s strife” (Shakespeare). Many deaths are caused due to this tragic love. The person responsible for Romeo and Juliet’s death is Friar Laurence due to the fact that he was a misleader, reckless and bad advisor. Even though he was just trying to help these two young lovers, he made things lead to a tragedy.

In the city of Verona, we have been burdened by the tragic deaths of the beloved children of the Montague and Capulet families, Romeo and Juliet. Although many people could be held responsible for Romeo and Juliet’s unfortunate ending, I feel that there is one character who had a larger impact on the results. Furthermore, the hapless upshot of the play never would have taken place without some of Friar Laurence’s reckless choices.

There are many incidents that occurred and many people could be blamed for the deaths of the two lovers. Friar Laurence helped them get married even though they were still kids. Then Friar Laurence knew that neither of the families would have accepted the marriage yet he went and married them. Also, Friar Laurence gave Juliet poison just because she didn’t want to marry Sir Paris when she was already married to Romeo and when Sir Capulet threatened to disown her if she didn’t marry Sir Paris. Friar Laurence had a lot to do with the tragic deaths of these star-crossed lovers known as Romeo and Juliet. Tybalt then wanted to kill Romeo because he’s from the rivaling family and he despised him.

The first mistake that Friar Laurence made was to agree to marry the two in secret and without the permission of their parents. The next piece of bad advice the Friar gave, was when he instructed Juliet to fake her own death to avoid her dilemma. The last wrongdoing was giving the message for Romeo to an unreliable messenger. If any of these events did not take place, their deaths could’ve been avoided.

The main thoughtful that characterizes him is his thinking outside the box and being creative. He was gazing at an herb and had a view of it in a different way. This herb could kill or heal. He also depicted it as mankind. He uttered, "Two such opposed kings encamp them still in man as well as herbs--grace and rude will (Line 28-29)." This means that a person has evil and good inside them, it's just that person to decide which one to follow.
