Athens, Greece is located on the continent of Europe. Greece borders Albania, Macedonia, Bulgaria, and a small portion of Turkey. The closest major body of water to Greece is the Aegean Sea. Greece is a part of the region known as West Europe. Upon hearing about the place Athens, Greece, I remember that the place itself dates back to 3,000 BC, which makes it one of the oldest cities in the world. Athens also reminds me of democracy as Athens is the birthplace of democracy. Besides politics and geography, Athens is the Home of the various Gods ancient Greeks believed such as Olympus and Poseidon. Athens is also the origins of theaters introducing comedies and tragedies into plays.
2. Great Barrier Reef is located in Queensland on the continent of Australia. It does not border any other country because Australia is composed of one country, Australia itself. The closest major body of water to Great Barrier Reef is the Coral Sea. Great Barrier Reef is a part of the region known as Australia and South Pacific.
