Firstly, I would like to say that most working hours for employees earlier were the traditional nine to five timings during the day. When my father was working as a lawyer and even earlier as a legal assistant for a firm, there were few to no positions available called part-time. He was working as a full-time employee for his company since day one of his job and was never required to work specific unbalanced hours in his job position. Along with these hours, he was getting paid during days off and was also receiving benefits from the company such as insurance coverage and some financial assistance for further education in Canada.

The EMR training was a valuable experience that has allowed me to acquire the necessary knowledge for identifying life threatening situations during emergencies, and what steps are necessary to follow in order to stablish safety and give the best care for the patient. During the training I learned about how the EMS system works after is activated, and what is expected from the EMR while awaiting for a higher level of care. I learned about how important it is for the EMR to communicate clearly and give complete information to dispatch and to those involved in the EMS during the response of a scene.
Currently, the Holiday Off needs to remain on primary job, regardless of hours worked in a secondary (transfer job as with Carol Magaro). If we had the secondary job submitted on pay timesheet, the law requires that we pay the employee the Holiday time and half. However, this should not affect the primary job. I ran the “holiday pay report” and since I was not part of the discussion with Gina, I will need the updates and work around for this, if needed be, however, this should not be a payroll function to return Holiday Off (primary jobs).
Overtime is not normally mandated at this company, but we may request employees to work overtime during peak holiday business times such as before Thanksgiving and Christmas.
In Australia, “employees get 10 days each year” (Fair Work) for full time employment. These days cover the employee when they are “ill or injured” (Fair Work). Some companies offer a number of sick days a year where
There are three main factors that Amy should use to determine whether Jane and her fellow shift workers are exempt or non-exempt. The first element is the salary criteria for the employees (Vogel et al., 2007). All the states in the United States are covered under the FLSA guidelines and should compensate the employees accordingly to avoid any possible disputes arising from employee suing the business for mistreatment. The Non-exempt personnel must be rewarded for the hours they work overtime; the normal working hours for these employees are forty hours in a week. The exempt employees, on the other hand, are not eligible for payments of any overtime unless they have an individual agreement with the company. If an employee is salaried by the company does not mean that they are exempted. The personnel in the organizations under the FLSA except some cases defined by the law such as the lawyers and doctors have to
