------------------------------------------------- Chapter One: Introduction 1.1 Rationale for the research * The most important rationale behind conducting the research is to fulfil the requirement of the degree requirement. This certainly is import to fulfil the part in order to obtain the degree. * The methodology chapter contains the discussion about the methodology adapted during the research process. The adapted methodology adapted on the rationale ground. First the research topic was carefully and analytically chosen. The selection of topic was the rationale decision due to two basic reasons. First reason was that the information available on the topic is excessive and vast quantity. The secondary information is readily …show more content…
The methods are explained about the data collection and the design process. This suggests that he information collected through different kind and forms of data collection methods. Chapter Four Results The results chapter provides information about analysis conducted and the the results of the research. This provides information through the help of collected data or information that is collected through the research. Chapter Five Conclusion This chapter provides information about the conclusion of the dissertation. The recommendations are suggested to the company. ------------------------------------------------- 1.4 Company Profile Tesco is an UK-based company and operating internationally. The major business of Tesco is the grocery items general merchandising retail chain. It is the largest British retailer by both global sales and domestic market share. This section is mainly about the study of the method that will be used to examine the research problem. Method acts as a tool or instrument for measuring variable stated in the objectives or the way of the study being conducted. Once researcher have chosen the scientific method as the means of inquiry, researcher must make some decisions about how researcher are going to gather all information (Kenneth & Bruce, 2005). There are two types of research method can be used to collect data either quantitative method or qualitative method.
The supermarket giant is the leading grocery market in the UK (with a market share of around 30%) in 2010 and announced a profit of £3.4bn. They also provide online services through their site Tesco.com. 50% of sales is from the companies brand which is at three levels from the lowest value to normal and the highest finest.
Based on the information available and the purpose of the study, a research can be conducted in two different ways - a qualitative or a quantitative way.
Tesco is one of the largest food retailers in the world, operating around 2,318 stores and employing over 326,000 people. It provides online services through its subsidiary, Tesco.com. The UK is the company's largest market, where it operates under four banners of Extra, Superstore, Metro and Express. Many
The fourth chapter is Discussions and Results Chapter. Firstly, research questions are stated, and then the results and findings are presented in the light of the data collection and analysis. Afterwards, it analyses and discusses the findings of the research questions. It also discusses a
Some points about the methodology and method employed in the research have been mentioned above. In this section, a deeper discussion will proceed covering merits and drawbacks of certain items. Furthermore, a tentative suggestion of another way of designing the research will be provided.
In this chapter the researcher is going to highlight the ways to be used to collect data as well as the tools which are going to be used. The researcher is to mainly focus on the research design and analysis of data.
Broadly speaking, there are several purpose of research. It depends on the objective of the research itself. First, research is conducted to get review from existing knowledge. Second, to investigate the problem and existing situation. Third, to provide solutions to problems. Fourth, to explore and analyse more general issues. Next, to construct or create new procedures or systems. After that, to explain new phenomenon. Then, to generate new knowledge. Otherwise, combination of any previous purposes. The purpose of research will determine the suitable method used to get the objective.
This chapter embodies background of the study, statement of the problem, objectives of the study, research questions, proposed methodology, significance of the study, delimitation or scope of the study, and gives an overview of the salient issues to be discussed in the subsequent chapters below.
This chapter presents the methods used in collecting data, how the data was processed and analyzed.
In this chapter, the focus is on the methodology used in the study. It include the data collection, data source, variables, research design, theoretical research framework, sampling design, test consideration for data analysis, hypotheses statement and conclusion.
This research work was properly carried out with the following reasons in mind as the purpose for the study.
In the scenario, the local weekly newspaper which is prepared by marketing colleague on the research as relating problem for finding out appropriate solutions. At the beginning of the research process is determining the problem of the industry, then we should identify and clarify the information which are needed. After defining the research problem and questions, we can set up the objectives of specify research.
