In his presser to the media on Friday the day after the game, Head Coach Mike McCoy spoke about the likeness of Herndon's work ethic.
"I think he’s worked extremely hard, all last year…on the practice squad,” McCoy said. The success he had last night in the return game didn’t surprise me at all.”
As you can already tell, McCoy is already taking notice of Herndon's approach to finally crack open into the 53 man roster and as a head coach it would be really difficult not to notice his pristine effort to make a life's worth in the NFL.
You know what they say about underdogs: "It is always the underdog who wins through sheer willpower."
And that ladies and gentlemen is what we're witnessing with Javontee Herndon, I will be rooting hard for this kid.
GO CHARGERS!

Unfortunately, his NFL career was an average one where he played as a backup for six years. Still, even getting to the NFL was a great achievement. He did not start much, and he had very low stats unlike his college career. This was due to the extreme competition in the NFL. In college, he finished with a 31-14-1 record as a starter (“Tommy Hodson”). He still holds LSU’s career records for yards passing, touchdown passes, completions, and attempts.
