One reason physical education may not be present is due to the fact that colleges do not require any type of higher level physical education unless directly correlated to a specific major. Being that common core’s main goal is to teach students things that they will be expected to know and use in every field like reading and writing. While reading, writing and critical thinking will be required in most jobs it is unlikely that a high level of physical education will be necessary.
