Misconception?
On December 7, 1941 the Japanese launched an “unexpectedly” attacked Pearl Harbor. The event lead to the deaths of 2,403 Americans. The attack is seen as complete unjustifiable attack. Due to the general view taught in schools, many people believe that Japan launched a brutal attack without any reason or justification. In reality Japan was provoked by the United States, more specifically by President Franklin Delano Roosevelt.
FDR addressed the nation with the famous Day of Infamy Speech which went, “Yesterday, December 7th, 1941 -- a date which will live in infamy -- the United States of America was suddenly and deliberately attacked by naval and air forces of the Empire of Japan.” The attack was of course deliberately, but

The acts included : ending or getting rid of commercial treaty with Japan, exports of scrap iron and steel scrap were restricted and Japaneses assets in the United States were frozen. Japan could not endure the economical and commercial restrains. The Japanese had no other option but to go to war in order to escape the trap.

December 7, 1941, was one of the worst attacks on the United States in U.S. history. Of that day 2,403 soldiers were killed in action, 1,178 were wounded in action. Numerous U.S. armed forces personnel were misjudged, which allowed the Japanese to carry out this terrible attack. Not only did the Japanese hit the U.S. where they knew it would hurt the most, but it crippled the United States’ entire Pacific Fleet.
Japan had been the one to bomb Pearl Harbor. The bombs had killed more than 2,300 Americans in the Naval Base at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii Territory. This act had destroyed the U.S.S. Arizona and the U.S.S. Oklahoma completely. This attack had beached and /or sank ships but damaged about 9 others. Aircrafts were destroyed and damaged.
Japan’s attack on Pearl Harbor seems unwise, ill-judged, and senseless. The attack was meant to keep the U.S. out of the war, but had the opposite effect and instead made them want to fight and join it. Japan, at this time, was not a major power and having them attack one of the biggest major powers by bombing the U.S. naval base in Hawaii didn’t appear like an appropriate idea for them. Then why did they do it? Japan’s reasons for attacking Pearl Harbor was their plan for a ‘new’ world order, the U.S. oil embargo, and the relocation and expansion of the U.S. naval fleet.

The Japanese New World Order was the idea that it was time for Japan to rule the entire world.

After the bombing of Pearl Harbor Roosevelt asked congress to declare war on Japan. Pearl Harbor was a surprise to the United States, a great plan to the Japanese Empire, and a gateway to World War II. The attack on Pearl Harbor took a toll on countries all over the world. The Japanese had launched a all-out surprise attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941. This attack took place throughout the opeack talks.
