Sprite is a type of soda that many people drink but how can it handle an Alacelzer. It doesn’t have a color and is flavored lime and lemon created by the coca cola company. Its made of carbon water, high fructose corn syrup, citric acid, natural flavors, and sodium benzoate. To get an idea of what this is really made up of I will tell you what each ingredient is. Carbonated water is water that has carbon dioxide dissolved into it as a gas. High fructose is something sweetener that is made from corn starch. Citric acid is a weak organic acid that keep in mind is used in this soda sprite. It gives the drink or food taste to it. Natural flavoring is when there is a flavor in a food that has come from another food to make that food taste good.
The article I chose to read about is called Soda on the Menu. Throughout this article, it discusses the drink options that are available on the menus in restaurants and what should be done about it. This article is mainly focused on the drinks that are available to kids on their menu's and how this is a huge contributing factor to the childhood obesity our world is seeing right now. Our group wanted to know how switching the temperatures of the soda can and the water in the bowl will affect the original outcome. We wondered if having a cold can placed in a hot bowl of water would yield results similar to a hot can in a cold bowl. The idea intrigued us, and we wanted this to be our research question.

Having a cold can of soda on a really hot summer day is like being in heaven. Ironically that state of heaven can lead to your destruction. Soda is one of the most harmful drinks out in the world. It contains phosphoric acid, which depletes calcium and magnesium—two nutrients that help keep your immunity operating at peak efficiency and to keep your bones from softening, osteoporosis, and dental cavities. It interferes with the aids in your stomach, slowing digestion and blocking nutrient absorption. It contains high fructose corn syrup that can lead to greater construction of free radicals which has been linked to the development of diabetes, diabetic complications and tissue damage.
This research will discuss the issue of drinking soda regularly especially among younger adults between 18 to 35 years. The research will provide comparison between the athletes and non-athletes consumers of soda to project the risk of getting overweight. The research objective is to encourage young adults to stop or reduce drinking soda in order to control their weight. This soda advertisement of Pepsi shows that Pepsi is associated with identity. Pepsi portrays an effect that everyone is drinking it, I should too. This also shows social acceptance. All the kids are fairly dressed in the same type of style which shows that they are cool and socially accepted. The role of the advertisement shows that it transforms an ordinary moment into a fun, extraordinary one. It also emphasizes that “Pepsi is the next Generation.” The target of this Pepsi commercial is for young, middle class teenagers using the popular culture of Michael Jackson. Coca cola claims that Sprite Zero offers the same refreshment taste of Sprite but without the calories or sugar. (Coca Cola Journey 2016) When the Nutrition information and the claim of the company is reviewed it’s seen that The Coca Cola company made Sprite Zero as a sugar free soft drink that contains no fat, protein and carbohydrates. Where as the nutritional information of normal Sprite shows different results, this can be shown in figure 1. When both drinks are compared it’s seen that Sprite contains 6.6g/ 100ml of glucose (Coca Cola Journey 2016). While Sprite Zero contains 0g of sugar meaning Sprite Zero has no trace of sugar within it.
As the nutrition information of Sprite is observed it’s seen that the Coca Cola company claims that it contains a new stevia sweetener, this sweetener lets the drink’s sugar to be lowed while keeping its great citrus taste. The first thing that one could notice is the theme. The commercial is trying to be humorous and is trying to create a good atmosphere in the video. The usage of humor puts consumers in a good mood, and when they see a bottle of sprite at the store, they think back to the humorous ad, and they feel compelled to buy it. To be honest, not a lot of other themes would have worked for a soda.

The Pepsi Pavilion project served as a experiment and a landmark that integrated social interactions, electronic media, performance art, and futuristic concepts that created mind-altering realities. The Pepsi Pavilion in Osaka, Japan was built for display and therefore had significant symbolic meaning attached. The designers of Pepsi Pavilion were attracted to the aesthetic radicalism brought about by the collaboration between the arts, sciences. The Pavilion was designed to provide viewers with the opportunity to shape their own reality from the interaction of art, technology through a variety of processes within the structure.
Pepsi, one of the major soft drink company, has been always compete directly with another major company which is Coca-Cola. In terms of market share in US, ‘Table 1’ in appendix shows that Pepsi comes a close second with a market share of 33 percent compared to the 40-41 percent of Coke (Arijit, pp.1702). It is no doubt that Coke is the main competitor of Pepsi and both companies make an effort in order to expand their market share not only in local market but also the global market. Moreover, the general market trend is toward to “healthy life style” that prevalent view on carbonated soft drink is turning to be negative. Those issues resulted that companies seek a business strategy to increase innovation, industry growth and shareholder value (David 2014). In 2009, Pepsi had started an innovative project called Pepsi Refresh Project (PRP) under the slogan of “Every Pepsi Refreshes The World”. According to Pepsico website (2010), they define the project as “The Pepsi Refresh Project is an evolution of the Refresh Everything initiative Pepsi launched in 2009, which showed the brand as an optimistic catalyst for idea creation, leading to an ever-refreshing world”.
