Hello. So I will not be introducing myself. I’d like to keep my name a secret for no apparent reason. Besides, does my name have any pact on this speech? Does my name serve any purpose in my life other than letting people know what to call me? No, no it does not. And to all of you who already know my name, the last four sentences have been a total waste. And to those who don’t, the last four sentences will be nagging you in the head for your entire life about what my name could possibly be. Maybe the select few people who have made a speech say that their last school year at Pomeroy was amazing- that there was nothing like it. Others might say that it was normal. This year I had the prestigious honor of being in Ms. Brown’s class, and let me tell you, it was anything but normal. Ms. Brown’s cheerfulness (and maybe a bit of messiness) really helped me realize that teachers actually have lives. They’re not just some robots who are only activated to teach, and then turned off when the class leaves, as much as we might think they are. I think that Ms. Brown’s conversations with us helped me see things differently. I don’t want to sound all corny when I say that, but seriously. She often talked to us about just random facts, puppies and kitten, and really confusing things like parallel universes, which I can’t even wrap my mind around. Although I think there have been moments where Ms. Brown is just as confused as I am. I’m not saying that my teacher is better than all other teachers, and I’m sure Ms, Brown doesn’t think so either. However, I didn’t spend ten months with Ms. Thomsen, Ms. Hilty, or Ms. Sainten, so I’ll be talking about Ms. Brown. Besides, every representative has something wonderful to say about their teacher.
