Largest white-tailed mongoose can reach 28-30 inches in length and weigh up to 8 pounds. There were not a lot of differences in between the book rikki-tikki-tavi and the movie. In the book it showed that he was eating a piece of meat but in the movie he was eating a banana. In the book in never said that he got in the bath with Teddy but in the movie he got in the bath with Teddy. In the book it didn't paint a lot of pictures in your mind. The book was better detailed. It had more information and more better at explaining. But the book didn't have the power to paint a picture in your mind The movie had the power to paint a picture your mind. But it didn't have that information that the book had. The movie didn't have the explaining that the
As there are various similarities, there are differences as well. One being that in the book Rikki-tikki-tavi and Nag duel when they initially meet with the help of Nagaina(Book). This scene helps build up the rivalry of the snakes and Rikki-tikki. The scene provides a simpler way to see why Nag and Nagaina dislike the mongoose, along with other lines. “When the house is emptied of people, he (Rikki-tikki) will have to go away and the garden will be ours again.” (Kipling 150) Nag and Nagaina want power. Before Rikki-tikki was found and taken to live in the bungalow, the snakes had the animals bowing down to them. In the movie there was no duel and the understanding of the rivalry is gone. Rikki-tikki and the snakes hold a lousy relation, the snakes try to kill his family in order to get rid of him. Without the image of the creatures hostility the snakes
All in all there were many things different about the book compared to the movie.
The story Rikki-tikki-tavi by Rudyard Kipling is about the rivalry between Rikki, a small mongoose and Nag and Nagaina, two king cobras. A giant wave flushes Rikki out from his warm, cozy den and leaves him on the river bank near Teddy’s family’s garden. Rikki is taken in and cared for, by Teddy’s family. While exploring the garden he confronts two king cobras Nag and Nagaina. If Rikki does not kill the snakes, the garden creatures will fall prey to the cobras! This exciting story also became a motion picture movie. The story and the movie are similar in plot but contain some notable differences, including where Rikki finds Teddy in the bath and that Nagaina waits for one of
Rikki was found by a river soaking wet by Teddy, a boy who wanted to have a funeral for him, and his family. In both the story and movie he was describe cold and wet; also he was found in the dirt. The family decided to take him home to warm him up and get him something to eat. During the movie the big man, Teddy’s dad, picked Rikki up at the river holding him with his nose at the man’s finger tips, and Rikki’s tail passed his wrist. While in the story it is stated “the big man picked him up between finger and thumb.”( Kipling pg.143) there is a difference between the story and the movie. While the movie isn’t an exact replica there still are a lot of similarities. When the family decided to bring Rikki-Tikki in to dry the movie and story have a difference. The story said that “They wrapped him in cotton, and warmed him over a little fire.” (Kipling 143). Although the movie was close it showed Rikki in the cotton but he wasn’t placed over a small fire. Similarities are plentiful in the movie, but there are some differences to look up to.
They went through the roof. There were so many differences in the movie. I was able to see it visually and mentally my head. It helped me understand what was going on in the movie. In Addition the movie was a lot better. It was so much better than the book. There were more details than ever in the movie than in the
For instance, the book talks about how the greasers felt and how their feelings were, then in the movie, it didnt talk about it but it showed it. The way that they showed it was not as good as it was written. When reading we don't fall in love with the characters' appearance. We fall in love with their words, their thoughts, and their hearts. We fall in love with their soul. In movies we focus more on appearance and what's going on in the background, which then gets people distracted from what the character is feeling and their thoughts. On the other hand, you can see the actions of the characters in the movie, which might help you process the way they act, however with the book the author can use what he thinks and try to give people a general idea of everything. For an example in the book it talks about how Randy
The book tells the same story as the movie but in a different way it cuts out thing the movies has or the movies adds thing that's not in the book. The book has some not many similar but . I feel the director was unfaithful to the book. The book and movie version of Our America had many differences.
There are other significant similarities between the movie and the book, so if I overlooked or forgot any extremely crucial points, forgive me.
The Indian gray mongoose, and other types of mongooses, are well known for their ability to fight and kill venomous snakes, particularly cobras. Brave Rikki-tikki-tavi is a mongoose who was washed away from his home during a horrible storm. He learns how to survive after this tragedy. There is a book and a movie about the story of the courageous Rikki-tikki-tavi. There are similarities and very minor differences in both the book and the movie of Rikki-tikki-tavi. The three ways that express the similarities and differences of the story of Rikki-tikki-tavi are the characters, the setting, and the conflict.
To add on, the book version of the story is more powerful than the movie version because the character development is stronger in the book than in the movie. The character development in a story affects the plot in a dominant way. The reason for this is because the characters are the people who choose what action that they want to take in the story, which has an impact on the plot. For example, in The 5th Wave, Cassie Sullivan is the main protagonist in the story. At the beginning of the book, Cassie worked solo, meaning she didn’t partner up or associate with anyone else on her journey of finding Sam. Later on in the book, when Cassie meets Evan Walker, she learned how to tell the difference between people that you could trust, and people that you can’t
The writer of this book, Rudyard Kipling was born in India in 1865. He was shipped off to a board house at the age of 6 with his sister in England. At the board house, he learned how to write very well. Suppose why this is such a good story, but it does come with some ups and downs along with logical details. On August 1, 2014 a short movie in Vimeo,” Rikki Tikki Tavi”, the book, Rudyard wrote has some incorrect facts on the book.
I feel like if a new person who has never even heard of the story, would have a harder time understanding the plot in the story. If they were to watch the movie though, I feel they would have a better grasp on the concept. In the book it was hard to tell what was going on, it went from one place to the other. The movie you were able to see what was happening, making it more understandable.
Have you ever wonder if it was worth it to read the book? People have always wondered which was better. Reading can help improve your memory, concentration, and brain function. People have always had their own opinions about which is better. I personally believe that reading the book is better than the movie.
Overall the book and the movie will never be the same simply because while reading a book you illustrate a certain image in your head of the setting of the book and during a movie it is another person's perspective outside of yours such as in the case its Jackson's perspective of the book and the images that he created on his own while
This is very important because the movie is very much a special effects movie and its focus is mainly on spectacular stunts and special effects. While the book's focus is more on developing the characters. The book uses flashbacks which sometimes gets in the way of the action, but adds depth of character and background information needed to understand some of the plot which is more about the character's flaws and struggles in life. Both the book and movie take a typical storyline of hero saves victim from the villain.
