Former rocker Zach Williams, who has now become a contemporary Christian artist, is sharing his newfound hope in Jesus after walking away from rock ‘n’ roll and drugs through his hit single “Chain Breaker.”
In an interview with The Christian Post, Williams recounted how he was raised by his Christian parents who were active in the church ministry. However, he drifted away from his Christian values when he entered his teenage years and started making friends with people who did not have a relationship with Jesus Christ.
Highlighting the importance of the people he spends time with, Williams said he sort of “ran away” from his godly calling because of the crowd around him. While he felt God calling him at an early age, he kept evading it because

Through the song, God spoke to him and prompted him to tell his wife that he was going to quit the band and begin going to church after the tour. For him, his encounter with God not only saved him, but his marriage and family as well.
“I remember coming home from that tour and it was the first time I had ever really fallen on my hands and knees and cried out to the Lord. ‘I'm sick of this; I'm sick of what I'm doing, I'm sick of my life, make this new,’” Williams told The Post. “There was a freedom in that that I've never experienced before. Immediately, I felt like everything was going to be alright. I didn't have any reservations that what I was doing was wrong.”
In May, BREATHEcast published a report on Williams’ decision to quit his rock band and release his debut gospel single “Chain Breaker” in June. The rocker had also released a statement conveying his regret in his past involvement with drugs and alcohol.
Zach Williams urged people to fall down on their hands and knees and ask God to save them if they are unsure of what they are doing with their lives. The Christian rocker said Jesus Christ died on the cross to free people from the chains of struggles and
to respond to God’s call within our own unique identities. This was a revolutionary thought — that God wants me to be myself. Williams exposes the tendency to hide in “unreality” and self- protection, saying that vocation “is what’s left when all the games have stopped. 3”
After “Don’t” he received a call from Audrey Graham (Drake) and was offered a contract on OVO sounds and was even sent a pair of yeezys. Surprisingly, he declined the offer and decided to work on his own. Instead
As time passed the congregation became more and more animated, wailing for Hughes to come up and be saved. Hughes became more and more impatient and extremely agitated. At the same time he must have been very curious as to why all the others were going up to the altar.
One of the most influential black politicians in American history, Andrew Young has made countless contributions towards the advancement of civil liberties across the globe. In the third chapter of Andrew J. DeRoche’s biography Andrew Young: Civil Rights Ambassador, he successfully details how Young applied his experience in the Civil Rights Movement to his political career to help achieve peace and promote human rights in the United States and throughout the developing world. DeRoche’s research uses many primary sources such as a personal interview, excerpts from Young’s own autobiography, and direct quotes from speeches he made in Congress, making his study both thorough and reliable. Ultimately, DeRoche’s
Eric Church is a good ole' country boy from Granite Falls, North Carolina. At thirteen is when Church started writing songs and playing guitar. His passion for music grew later in life and he moved to Nashville, where he was signed with Sony Tree Records. His last album Chief won Album of the Year from both the CMA and ACM in the last awards cycle, as it probably should have compared to its competition. Eric Church will never win the popularity contests like “Entertainer” or “Male Vocalist” categories because he has made more enemies than friends in the industry and beyond. But his music’s unpredictability is the magic quotient that can’t be denied, and continues to win him loyal fans.
He explained to us that now while playing with NF, he performs every night in bars with drinks on all four walls, but has no temptation. Instead, he helps those who are hopping from wall to wall getting drinks. All of what I was hearing made me realize that I can overcome temptation. It made me understand that if I do fall into temptation, God will lead me out of it, and in turn, use me to help those who are struggling. This was the first time it had really sank in how much I need God in my life. It made me realize I am here on Earth, not to stay, but to help those who otherwise, would be staying somewhere worse after this life. Not only can I help those by temptations God has helped me overcome, but by my passion, drumming itself. He made me realize that my drums are an outer representation of an inner manifestation. Although I might be playing a polyrhythm on my drums, it is representing my passion for God. That is more important than any beat I could ever create on the
In his book Share Jesus Without Fear, William Fay lays out an easy and attainable way for one to reach people for Christ. I know I can go back to them to cheer me up and comfort me. Therefore Chris using the lyrics “lights will guide you home” helps us understand by using personification, that there will always be someone to help and guide you no matter what.
I want to forgive my mother... Instead I’ll go to my childhood home and burn it down. I feel good about it though. A couple of weeks ago, Dan and I were back in L.A. after Dan’s European tour. I was exhausted and cold to the bone but I was happy to go back to the California sun. He was happy to retire to his Calabasas cabin. After thirty-six shows and eleven and half hours on a plane, we were about to be done with the music industry.
So the theme in Carrie Underwood’s “Jesus Take the Wheel” is how someone's life is heading towards a dreadful path, the person can’t take control of their life. They don’t know what to do or how to help themselves so, this person reaches out to Jesus to ask for guidance, advice, and to completely take control of their life. This song uses metaphors, similes, allusion, and symbolism in many of the verses. This song was a hit all over, staying at #1 for 6 consecutive weeks on the Billboard of Hot Country. It was also was #4 on Hot Christian Songs and topping highly on the Billboard of Adult Contemporary. This song also won the ‘Single of the Year’ in 2005 at the CMA’s (Country Music Awards).
