the surface in level areas. Runoff on bare or sparsely vegetated soil can result in erosion. Runoff
removes nutrients, chemicals, and sediment, resulting in decreased soil productivity, offsite
sedimentation of bodies of water, and diminished water quality.
To determine whether runoff is likely to occur, refer to rainfall data [from Mead, NE and compare it to
