- But the answer appears 19,504 in the Direct Labor. How did that happen? Can you make a solution for this?Doaktown Products manufactures fishing equipment for recreational uses. The Miramichi plant produces the company's two versions of a special reel used for river fishing. The two models are the M-008, a basic reel, and the M-123, a new and improved version. Cost accountants at company headquarters have prepared costs for the two reels for the most recent period. The plant manager is concerned. The cost report does not coincide with her intuition about the relative costs of the two models. She has asked you to review the cost accounting and help her prepare a response to headquarters. Manufacturing overhead is currently assigned to products based on their direct labor costs. For the most recent month, manufacturing overhead was $334,400. During that time, the company produced 14,900 units of the M-008 and 2,400 units of the M-123. The direct costs of production were as follows. М-008 М-123 Total Direct materials $119,200 $ 96,000 48,000 $215,200 Direct labor 119,200 167,200 Management…I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong here. I understand the formuals as: (work in process inv/cost of goods sold)x365
- The question at hand is (b) below. The images attached are to help anmswer (b). Thank you. :) (b) Why is the amount of underapplied (overapplied) manufacturing overhead different from Requirement 2 above? (You may select more than one answer.) check all that apply The predetermined overhead rate changed.unanswered The change in the actual manufacturing overhead cost directly resulted in a comparable change in the amount of underapplied (overapplied) manufacturing overhead.unanswered The change in the estimated total amount of the allocation base affected the amount of manufacturing overhead applied.Hello, I believe Answer 1 may have some errors. You included $4080 as the "indirect material used in production" but the original table has it listed as 4680. This may have changed the remainder of the answer including the "total manufacturing cost" and the "cost of good manufactured". Please advise. Thanks.- What is the total cost for job number 432? If you can show steps too please.
- good morning, I ask help with this preblem in the photos. I also ask if you can explain me how the COGS and finished good cost are computed? with all the precise steps(please!). thank you very much. ps. this exercise is also on this website, but i still don't get how the Cogs and finished goods cost are computed (from "fundamental of cost accounting" 6th ed., CH.7 problem: 22E).For this problem, I understood to take the predetermined overhead rate, and I even knew to use to the numbers the solution does. My question is for the predetermined overhead rate the solution got .60 from dividing 45,990/5110. Dividing 5110 into 45,990 gives an answer of 9. So where did the .60 come from in the problem?Q6) Manufacturing overhead costs are easy to trace and can be ignored while calculating total costs. Select one: True False
- So I’ve asked this question already but the answer I got wasn’t very clear at all. I’ve highlighted the picture so that you can see more specifically what I’m asking. In the first picture were the machine hours, direct labor hours, total fixed manufacturing overhead, variable manufacturing overhead per machine hour, variable manufacturing overhead per direct labor hour is all listed- I know I use those numbers in the equation that is on the bottom of the page, the predetermined overhead rate formula. My question is regarding the chart that is in the middle of that page. It is titled job 407 and it lists machine hours as 90 for milling And 4 for assembly. Underneath that it lists direct labor hours as 5 for milling and 20 for assembly. I am asking specifically where those numbers have come from and how they have calculated those amounts. I have highlighted the charts for you. Please help me understand why is direct labor a poor base for allocating overhead in many companies? Please Explain thoroghly so I can understand better. Thank You1. WHAT WOULD BE THE PER UNIT OVERHEAD COST FOR PRODUCT SENEN IF DIRECT LABOR HOURS WERE THE ALLOCATION BASE? 2. WHAT WOULD BE THE PER UNIT OVERHEAD COST OF PRODUCT PETER IF ABC WERE USED? 3. WHAT WOULD BE THE PER UNIT OVERHEAD COST OF PRODUCT SENEN IF ABC WERE USED?
