Question
This problem I am struggling to get started because I need to 1- find the point of interest to then 2- find the state of stresses and 3- then find principal stresses, for finally then finding 4- Tresca and Von Mises safety factors.
The main thing for me here is that I am not sure how to go on about finding the point of interest, by trial and error? what should I be looking out for? Numbers 3-4 I feel more comfortable with but if this problem is too long I can make it into 2 submissions as well.
I just need some guidance with this.
