One purchase I made during this past week was when I bought butter pecan ice cream from my local grocery store. I was craving something sweet which led to me purchasing some ice cream. This type of purchase was a nominal low level of involvement. I only buy Breyers brand ice cream, so this was a habitual decision that didn’t require much consideration of alternative
2
brands. My local store branding played a subtle role in my decision. Their consistent quality and friendly service made it my go-to spot.
Another purchase I made this past week was I bought 2 Starbucks new Spring collection cups while I was in Target. This was an impulsive buy since I
was making my way to leave the store and the cups caught my eye. Starbucks usually have their stores placed by the entrance/exit of every Target. This type of purchase I would consider to be limited moderate level of
involvement. Since this decision was made in response to an emotional need
of wanting a new Starbucks cup because I liked the design of the new collection, it is limited. Are there other cheaper alternatives? Sure there are, but the fact that it’s Starbucks and was currently right in front of me, I bought it.
The last purchase I made this past week was purchasing new bras from
Lane Bryant. It was time for me to purchase new bras since the ones I have are currently on their last leg (lol) especially with summer right around the corner. This type of purchase was an extended high level of involvement. For one, bras in my size are crazy expensive hence the extensive search by a complex evaluation of multiple brands before I make my final purchase. Lane
Bryant targeted ads highlighted the comfort and durability of their bras along
with a discount when you bought 2 or more. Hence my decision to purchase my items from them.
