Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a very difficult genetic disorder to live with. People with ASD have troubles socializing or verbalizing with other people. Women can avoid there child having autism by taking vitamins or eating food that has folic acid in it. In some cases the person could have strokes on and off. Some major causes are environmental stress, or genetic mutations in their genes. In chromosomes there are pairs, and those pairs can become mixed up and create a mutation. Repetitions of certain behaviors, social Impairment, and communication difficulties are some major symptoms of Autism Spectrum Disorder. Some odd behaviors might be refusing to meet everybody, not just certain people. Social impairment is when the victim is not wanting to communicate with or welcome other people. When the parent has a concern about the way their child is learning they will take them to the doctor who would ask them to play or talk to the patient to see how they learn and develop things in their mind. The doctor would ask easy questions about their life and learning experiences. He would even have the young child put together puzzles and play other games depending on the patient’s age. The patient would visit the doctor at 9, 18, and 24 months of age. No medication can completely cure Autism Spectrum Disorder, but there are many prescriptions to help with the symptoms or help them function better. These medications can affect every single person with ASD very differently. Another treatment is to take the victim too different mental or physical therapies. They deserve to have their own classroom with smaller class sizes and special activities designed to fit their sensory needs. These children could also need an environment that allows them to receive more one on one instruction. However, they should also have access to other interaction with individuals. How much interaction is the real question?
