Environment is defined as “all factors affecting and affected by the system” and is “all internal and external factors or influences surrounding the identified client or client system”. Neuman has identified three relevant environments. The internal environment “ consists of all forces or interactive influences internal to or contained solely within the boundaries of the defined client/client system”. The external environment “ consists of all forces or interactive influences external to or existing outside the defined client/client system” and is interpersonal and extrapersonal in nature(Neuman, 2002). Feedback the process within which matter, energy, and information, as system output, provide feedback for corrective action to change, enhance or stabilize the system. Flexible lines of defense is a protective buffer for the client’s normal or a stable state. Ideally, it prevents invasion of stressors and keeps the client system free from stressor reactions or symptomatology (Fawcett, 1995). Goal the system goal is stability for the purpose of client survival and optimal wellness. Health a continuum of wellness to illness, dynamic in nature, that is constantly subject to change. Optimal wellness or stability indicates that total system needs are being met. A reduced state of wellness is the result of unmet

This paper shows what exactly I all ate over the past three days while putting all the foods in the following food groups to show me if I have a healthy and balanced diet. All this data was collected by myself and put into a website called SuperTracker. SuperTracker is a website used by many when it comes to recording there daily foods they consumed. Not only did this show me if I was eating the necessary amount off of each step of the food pyramid but also did it show me the amount of calories I was taking in versus the amount of calories I should be taking in. In this paper you will see my daily physical activity and the amount of minutes I put into a week in just 3 days being an athlete. This paper examines just my diet through March 8th- March 10th for every meal and every snack I had each day. I will explain the rest in this paper about the food I consumed and my physical activity and if it’s enough for me.

It is feeling of the nephrologist that this patient needs further work-up in order to determine the etiology of her hyponatremia. The hypernatremia places her in a very increased risk for falls.
According to Floyd, Mimms and Yelding (2008) Webster’s Dictionary defines health as “the condition of being sound in body, mind and spirit… freedom from physical disease or pain.” This definition has very much taken the holistic view. Wellbeing is a term in which reflects on the positive emphasis on health and can be broken down into six aspects know as environmental, physical, social, emotional, mental and spiritual. To achieve a high balance of wellbeing it is vital that a person is able to balance and take care of each aspect effectively. Underdown (2007) implies that in 1948 the World Health Organization (WHO) defines health as ‘a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not just the absence of disease or infirmity.’ This definition took a holistic view as it mentions mental and social wellbeing and it was supported as it focused on a person being healthy rather than not being ill. However, this definition has been widely criticized. Seedhouse (1986) believed that for someone to be in perfect state of health is unachievable and unrealistic.

Diet is a word that people use daily in this time and age and yet there are many people that are unclear about what exactly this word means and how this word can impact their lives. Most misconstrue the actual meaning of the word. At no other time in history has there been so much scientific research available about nutrition, giving humans an enormous advantage in fueling their bodies with healthy food choices. Despite this accessible knowledge it appears we are still burdened with the need to “diet”, to fit in modern society’s standards. Is dieting helping the longevity of the human species or is it purely dangerous? Not all diets contain risky methods for losing weight. A well-balanced diet can increase live expectancy and lesson the chance of contracting disease. Eating well can also increase productivity in humans, generate a heightened mental prospective and could easily stop the rising obesity rates in todays culture. Concerning such aspects as long term health effects and the consequences from a unhealthy diet placed on mental stability, dieting could be distinguished as a disadvantage to the human species. Emily Mathieu (2011), reporter for the Toronto Star Newspaper, states that at least six billion dollars is spent annually by Canadians on weight loss surgeries, pills, special diets and meal replacements. Not only can dieting affect bank accounts, but it also has thousands of symptoms that are not conveyed by most, if not all, dieting companies. Research from Stanley S. Bass concludes that most dieters experience depression, headaches, fatigue and many other symptoms, while trying to obtain their “dream body”. Restricting diet is extremely unhealthy and can lead not only to death, but also

My definition of health is the ability to be able to balance the physical and mental aspects of one’s life by being able to adapt to new environments and situations.
