Corporal punishment with in reason is not abuse and should be considered a vital tool that is not out dated and should be used widely and constantly through out the previous and upcoming generations of man kind. Today with the mostly discontinued use of corporal punishment and generic discipline our children are becoming less disciplined, more disrespectful, and growing in their “boldness.”

The use of corporal punishment teaches children that it is acceptable to use violence to solve problems; however, many people believe using corporal punishment to discipline children is acceptable because it was used on them. Parents
Lenta, Strauss, Mayer and Blome, and McLloyd et. al would all argue that by utilizing corporal punishment on the young Americans today, we are raising up a generation who will continue to uphold this cycle of harsh/violent discipline instead of utilizing better and more effective (and proven to be effective)
However, using corporal punishment flexibly and appropriately is also necessary: it is important to disciplinary system; it is an effective tactic to discipline children, so it can reduce the incidence of child abuse; and it will not harm children who are under six but benefit them. Corporal punishment should not be prohibited because it is a safe and effective tactic to discipline children as long as parents use it rationally. If parents use it as the trump of their disciplinary system, use it in control, and only use it to teach children under six, spanking is a reasonable and viable option to teach children. Corporal punishment can be detrimental, but it also can beneficial to both parents and children. It only depends on how parents use
We will find in the spanked kids a physical and verbal form of aggression against others: classmate, family members, friends etc… it is like an expression of all frustration accumulated by spanked and frustrated child. Another study published in the Akron Law Review examined criminal records and found that children raised where a legal ban on parental corporal punishment is in effect are much more likely to be involved in crime. When kids and spanked or abuse in their childhood are spanked, they develop a hatred. The immediate consequence in their adolescence is physical aggression. It is the most common in the adolescent behavior and are likely to result in physical injury. The most extreme form of violence is a homicide. Thus, fights involving weapons and fights by teenagers old enough to be able to inflict serious injuries are what see in the street every day. When our child behaves negatively, the best way to teach him the positive behavior should be for example to explain what is wrong in his behavior, then explain or show with examples what is better to do. Also and the explanation of the reasons of positive behaviors regarding others, environments, society, laws, rules. And the consequences of “not doing this way” or of “doing
I feel that teachers who apply corporal punishment don’t know how to deal with children in an acceptable manner, they don’t possess the necessary tools to deal with the situation. They don’t follow the ethical code of SACE and take matters into their own hands. I feel that they use this tactic to scare children instead of engaging with them in a caring manner because they don’t have a passion for teaching and developing children. Sometimes teaching is just another job to
Corporal punishment in these days has been becoming a topic in many old timers talks. Many believe that it helps and is definitely the way to go. The older generations still seem to believe that society would be better off if kids still got punished the way they did. They refuse to ignore data that has not supported the clams they bring up about making children better behaved or as they call it “Straightening them up”. Many believe that our liberal democracy population has views that are not valid and that the old ways need to come back to help us grow.
The world has changed in many different ways, but there are still things that need to be changed for the better. Corporal punishment is one of those things. Another example from an article says, “Students who experience corporal punishment in
