employees I worked with were in their early 20s, we have an employer who was like almost 50 years old, which was a huge age difference. I feel like having a older employee was important, because she was an employee who was very mature and dependable. The older employee I worked with had more work experience, and she also have been working at that store longer than us, so she has better insight about the company than us. For instance, when a customer was giving us a hard time, she would always know how to handle the situation in the right way. I feel like when having her as an older employee, she keep us on track to do the right thing within the workplace.

I worked for a corporation that is very diverse and they believe in giving back to the employees and the community in Johns Creek, Georgia. This corporation has companies all over the world that believes in giving back to the community and making sure the employees are happy in their workplace. The company has many teams and group that support the organization. The people seemed eager to be a part of the team because they felt they were giving something back to the community. Everyone wanted to feel like they were doing something good and they enjoyed themselves doing it.

In today work force and the different diversity groups you work with you have to be able to try and understand you have to change the way things are managed so that you do not offend anyone from a different culture. Just recently my manager walked by my desk and said what is that smell, well I have a new neighbor that was stinking pretty badly. My neighbor is from a different culture then the rest of us and does not shower every day and does not wear deodorant and on the hot days you can smell him. It went on for a month and then he took it upon himself to go to the person’s manager and told him he needed to do something about it because it’s getting worse. I don’t believe that was the best idea but I can’t stop my manager from doing anything.

Diversity means differences in individuals. These differences can be based on different elements such as gender, sex, ethnicity, social status and race. The most important is that we should have cultural diversity at work place, which means to respect and appreciate our coworkers difference at the workplace. When the workplace is diverse, it shows that the agency or organization to hire people with different culture and races without any racial segregation and discrimination. It shows that hiring is based on equal employment opportunities. When an organization has diverse employees, their employees will have a better work ethic and attitudes. In my current profession, I work with individuals from many different foreign countries. The overall most respectful and jovial clients I encounter are all from Brazil. They genuinely enjoy life and spread that joy to anyone around them. The Brazilians that I have been fortunate enough to work with are honest and trustworthy. They stand by their promises and always keep their word. Their positive attitude and ethics set a high standard that I believe the majority of Americans could learn from. We tend to be less charismatic and all business when dealing with others. Standing by our word and honoring our promises are also becoming less prevalent with Americans in today’s business world.

I currently work for a financial institution located in Wilmington, Delaware. This organization has being around since 1988 with a history of innovation, from a small bank division to now a fortune 500 company, I must say that I absolutely love; working for this company. I am always in high spirit to go to work in the morning; because my employer cares about me. My supervisor has an open door policy; I can stop by his office anytime without a schedule meeting. Also, He values my opinion, believes in me, and always looking for ways to help me accomplish both my personal and team goals. My job is home away from home, I fit perfectly in this organization and adapt well to its changes, and I always had some of their culture instilled in me, because I think independently, especially when collaborating with others and never timid to share my creative ideas with senior managers.
