The most influential person in my life has been my sister, Emmy. Her bravery to risk her life as a pilot in the United States Air Force and to express her homosexuality in a hateful world has inspired me. My understanding of her changed my mindset of how I view challenges in my life. Throughout my childhood, it appeared to me as though every other week was a celebration of Emmy’s achievements whether it be music or math. A notion sprouted in my mind that she was the brightest person I would ever know. Her impressive academic ability is what led to her enrollment in the Missouri Academy of Science, Mathematics, and Computing, an early-entrance to college program for high achieving students to attend classes alongside traditional college students,
Lucille Ball has made significant and positive contributions to the country with her comedy. Many consider her America's best female actress. Kathleen Brady, in fact, says, "Lucille Ball is one of the greatest performing artists America has produced" (ix). Throughout her career, Ball has not only been a comedienne, but also a superb businesswoman, an excellent role model, and has won numerous awards.
Who are the people in your person’s life that influenced them the most? How did they cause that influence? Was it positive or negative?
There are two people that have significantly impacted my life, my parents. From the warmth of a hug to the sternness of a talk they have always been there. The softness of there hands or not so soft hands when I needed a hand to either get off the ground, or to cross the streets. The care in there eyes when I needed a band-aid, or when I was sick, or sad. The goodnight kiss and hug they give me before going to bed. The protection I felt when I was scared or when there was conflict. The taste of a good home cooked meal. Most of all the smell of my mom and dads perfume and cologne, why does it still smell so good!
Which, in my case the one who has influenced me the most into becoming a significant person would be my grandmother. She doesn’t let her sickness get in the way of helping others and telling me to never give up on my education. She would always say “work hard on anything that you believe in so even when times are tough.” My grandma is always there if needed either by helping in a way to get things done or by keeping people company. She’s full with an outstanding spirit, never asks for anything in return after getting the stuff done. It comes to show that her actions speak louder than words could ever do, By hearing all of the good things she does for people makes me want to become a better person. Therefore, I want to be able to assist people with a wide range of situations that they are facing
Mentor, older sibling, friend, guide, inspiration, and teacher. They have many names, but we all have at least one person who has influences us. For me that person was my gifted facilitator, Mrs. Tina McIver. Having someone who pushed me to do my best and excel, greatly impacted my decision to peruse career in math. Mrs. McIver was a huge influence in my decision to join FHSU Kansas Academy of Math and Science.
We all have influences in our lives. So, it’s hard to think of only one single greatest influence in my life. If I had to pick one influence it would be going to Rocky Mountain High. I got the opportunity to go to Rocky Mountain High this summer. It’s a conference that high school youth groups from around the United States attend for a week to learn more about God. This happens every three years, so I am lucky enough to get to go again and I can’t wait until the summer of 2020.
I cannot remember any person in my life that impacted me so much. If I had to credit any one individual who impacted my life it would have to be Jim Brown. Jim always preached about a code of ethics. He would often come to the high school and speak to us students. Some of our teachers would invite him to speak to our class. Whenever he came to speak he would always wear a suit. Blue or gray. He would always talk about this code of ethics. I was not sure what they were but I liked the respect he would receive from the community because he shared his belief in them so much. Well let’s began my story.
She was certified to teach English and French in an all girls schools in the 1900's. But instead Emmy chose to stay in school and study mathematics at the University of Erlangen-Nurnberg. At this time women weren't treated equally, so she could only attend class if her instructor said she could. Her course for mathematics was taught by David Hilbert, Felix Klein, Hermann Minkoeski, and astronomer Karl Schwarzschild.
In my high school career the person that had influenced me the most was Mrs. Georgia Stohr. She was my freshman English teacher and yearbook advisor through junior year. During my sophomore year she was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer. She taught me what it truly meant to be strong and loving. Throughout her battle she was always energetic and happy. She tried not to complain or be seen in pain. She put the yearbook staff and her students before her health in some cases and tried to be with us as much as possible. She would give us updates and make sure we knew exactly what was happening to her, even towards the end of her battle. Once her hair fell out she would wear funny hats and once, she came into class wearing a Victorian
My older sister Lily is the person that has influenced my life and my personality the most. Not only is she a dependable companion, she is also there to lend a helping hand academically or in any other form, and never fails to set a good example for me.

When asked who was the most influential person in my life without any hesitation I knew it was my father. My father has impacted my life greatly and has helped me become the person I am today. He has helped me in many ways; he pushes me to be the best, he is always there for me, and he possesses good qualities that I try to obtain.
In life you have many people who influence you. Some aare good influences and some are bad influences. Although, the one person who influenced my life most would have to be my father. My father sacrificed alot in his lifetime to make his children's lives better. I adore my father he is a strong confident man and loves his family unconditionally. I have become the person I am today because of my father.
Who has been a influence to you? Mom, dad, or anyone in your life? Well, there always that someone or person who has or had influenced you or even changed your life during you past years in your life. My influence is my one and only father. My father has influenced me in so many ways that has actually changed my life. The main three ways were for me to keep on task, keep safe and stay out of drugs and, and mostly, to believe in yourself.
I think the person who has had the most profound effect on my life besides my parents is my grandfather. I never realized before how much of an effect he had on my interests and goals for the future. Years ago, he used to tell me stories about historical events and experiences he had fighting in Vietnam and my great grandfather fighting in World War 2. His vivid descriptions always made it so interesting and, in some cases, more light-hearted than what actually happened. To this day he still has more stories to tell me, and never fails to captivate my interest. In doing this, he opened my eyes to my biggest interest, history, and encouraged me to pursue this interest throughout school. I feel like it would help to give a short summary of his life and how it affected me.
