Narrative- On 5Jul16 at 1459 hrs. I, Deputy Halbasch, was dispatched to 12862 220th St for a burglary in progress call. Dispatch informed me a female reporting party was stating a male party with a ski mask covering his face was trying to gain entry into her home, and had a golf club in his hand. Dispatch kept the female on the line, and stated the male party was now going away from the house. A very short time later Chief Deputy Parks arrived on scene, and stated he made contact with the male suspect, and he had the male suspect in custody. The male was identified as Derrick Smith, and I arrived a short time later. I made contact with Chief Deputy Parks who informed me the golf club was located in front of my squad car in the grass …show more content…
Teresa stated she didn’t believe Derrick made entry into any other access points of the house. There were no other vehicles or mode of transportation there, and she admitted to be in not knowing who Derrick is/was. Teresa was visibly shaking up from the incident and could not speak too well as she was nervous & anxious as she was trying to calm down. Inside the entryway of the house, was a golf club set that was tipped over. It is believed this is where Derrick got the club from. There were other clubs that had also been taken out of the bag & were located on the floor of the entryway. Teresa showed me the shop/garage and we found an open overhead door. Teresa didn’t know if Derrick opened the door or if it was left open by her or her husband. I returned to Chief Deputy Parks' location and briefed him about the details I gathered from Teresa. I then photographed the golf club and the shirts that Derrick was wearing. I found the golf club to be 3 wood Ben Hogan brand club with a green colored handle & black colored grip. The black colored shirts were found to be a black Michael Jordan T-shirt with a picture/graphic on the front and the other was a long sleeved zip up style shirt/light jacket with white colored accents on the arms & sides. On 02/27/2017, I, Dillon Dickerson, badge #155, was working as a Patrol Officer for the Wichita State University Police Department (WSU PD), in Wichita, Sedgwick County, Kansas. At approximately 2300 hours during our shift briefing second shift advised we may have to do some follow up to a case they had earlier in the shift. Officer Ben Gabel #152 was the one who took the case. Officer Gabel advised there was a Battery case which happened earlier in the day. This case involved two students. Officer Gabel said there may be a male student by the name of Mekeal Simmons making contact with WSU PD. Officer Gable stated the female half of the Battery (Jessica Johnson) would be leaving campus around 0130 hours to return to Texas. Officer Gabel advised he told the female half to call WSU PD and we would come out there to make sure she was safe while she packed up her items. Officer Gable also said he was in contact with Chief Sara Morris #113 and she was aware of the case. Officer Gable said if we do have contact with the male to get a statement from him and to contact the Captains or Chief.
Prior to leaving the scene I did check the vacant residence directly behind 1431 Holly Trail East per Nita Dobbs request. While checking the residence I did observe the back door leading to the deck to be open. I observed no signs of forced entry and it did not appear as if the residence had been burglarized. I
On 10/02/2017 at 0017 hours, units were dispatched to 627 Central Ave for a report of a Domestic involving a knife. I responded at emergency speed, priority one. Upon my arrival, I located the accused female in the bathroom.
On June 16, 2015, at approximately 0946 hrs, I was dispatched to Police Headquarters for a report of burglary and theft to a motor vehicle.
I then discovered there were no other victims or threats. Soon After detecting no pulse on both bodies I secure the scene with crime scene tape. EMS arrives at 11:34 AM and pronounces both dead on arrival at 11:40am. The Male victim was later identified as Johnny Nogood resident of the house DOB 7/4/86, and driver's license number 87654321 Tx. His Lifeless body was laying on his back, with his head towards the door. His left arm was to his side as the right arm was above the side of his head. There was a red liquid substance surrounding his head, it was also coming out of his nose and mouth running in the direction of his forehead. Johnny was wearing a blue hoodie, blue jean pants and brown boots. Next to his left foot was a pistol and next to his right leg was an empty magazine. Across the room was a female body laying on her side in front of a refrigerator, with her back towards the entry door of the house. She was laying in a puddle of red substance, That appeared to be her own. The red liquid substance appeared to be distributed. The disturbance may have been from the dog who was injured. On 09/26/2016, I, Dillon Dickerson, badge #155, was working as a Patrol Officer for the Wichita State University Police Department, in Wichita, Sedgwick County, Kansas. At approximately 1909 hours I was dispatched to Shocker Hall in regards to a Suspicious Character call. Dispatch advised there was a male which attempeted to get into Shocker Hall. He was described as a white male, blue jeans, gray sweat shirt, and had a green dwarl string backpack.
On April 27, 2016, at approximately 0031hrs, I was patrolling out at the City Lake when dispatch advised Sgt. Henke to respond to Wal-Mart, 937 Park Circle Drive. Sgt. Henke arrived on scene at approximately 0003hrs while I was in route to Wal-Mart. At approximately 0040hrs, I arrived on scene I made contact with Sgt. Henke inside Wal-Mart. Sgt. Henke had a Sandra Parr, w/f, DOB 1/19/63, under arrest and was walking her out Wal-Mart. Sgt. Henke was accompanied by Asset Protection Manager Krista L. McClintick.
On Wednesday 07/26/17 at 1306 hours I heard Officer D. Jones state via the radio a male had just possibly broken into a vehicle near 602 Auburn Way N. Officer Jones stated he detained the male on 6th ST NE just east of Auburn Way N.
On 08/05/2016, I, Dillon Dickerson, badge #155, was working as a Patrol Officer for the Wichita State University Police Department, in Wichita, Sedgwick County, Kansas. At approximately 1116 hours I was dispatched to Corbin room 156A to take a report of a lost or stolen wallet. I was riding at this time as a two man unit with Officer Faison #116. We arrived at Corbin at 1117 hours and made contact with the reporting party.
She was questioned on why she was there and she said to sleep. It was explained that she was not authorized to enter the residence and she was asked how she gained entry. She said she used the keys and pointed to keys lying on the top of a stand which had matching rubber key grips as the one's Grady furnished and keys for a vehicle. Your Affiants requested identification from the female and she supplied a driver's license idneitying herself as Maryann WACHHAUS. She was advised the bedroom door will be shut and requested to put clothes on. Grady walked into his home and after she exited his bedroom he asked her how she got inside. She replied with the keys. Grady told her that was a lie and that the keys she referred to were his keys. He explained he has two sets of keys. One of the has his car keys on them and the other is the key ring he gave us which only has two keys on it that are used to enter the home. He said he knew he was going out and would have some alcoholic beverages and when he does he does not take his car keys with him. Grady said he left his home to go to the class reunion at 1545 hours and left his keys on the top of the stand when he left. WACHHAUS does not live with Grady and their relationship had ended approximately 3 weeks prior to this
I responded to 410 South Brundidge Street in reference to a suspicious circumstance call. Upon arrival, I spoke with Michael Peacock. Peacock advised that he heard a loud "boom" and someone going through the residence. Peacock stated that he just thought it was one of his roommates. Peacock stated that someone started kicking his room door and he grabbed his knife and ran to the bathroom. While in the bathroom, Peacock called 9-1-1 and locked the door. Peacock couldn’t advise on anything missing at this time. There was a busted out window in the back of the unit. Photos were taken on my body cam.
She works evening as a food server and gets off around 11:00 PM. At about 9:30 PM, she receives a text message from Linda saying that she’s received a phone call from a former boyfriend, Anthony Moore, with who she recently broke up the relationship. She mentioned Anthony Moore being angry about the break up, while also sounding intoxicated on the phone. He didn’t make any threats when they spoke over the phone, but Linda claimed Anthony to be unpredictable when drinking. Linda sounded nervous and asked Lacy to stop by once she got off of work. Lacy went to the hospital to see if the woman found by the roadway was Linda. Officers standing by at the hospital phone me to report Lacy identified the victim as Linda Corbett. So at this time as other detectives are attempting to locate Anthony Moore, I obtained a search warrant to search the victim’s residence. I soon after served that search

On 10/29/2016, I, Dillon Dickerson, badge #155, was working as a Patrol Officer for the Wichita State University Police Department, in Wichita, Sedgwick County, Kansas. At approximately 2340 hours I was dispatched to Fairmount towers in regards to a suspicious character. Dispatch advised there was a black female asking students for cigarettes and money. Dispatch advised she was wearing a blue sweatshirt, a hat and had camo shoes on. I arrived at the Fairmount towers commons parking lot at 2334 hours. Officer Abbey #132 also arrived at which point we saw a black female matching the description over near the air conditioning units.
I arrived upstairs when I was directed inside the apartment. I saw a tall male in a white shirt holding a firearm.
