Why it is un cruel to keep animals in zoos. My first point is that if we let them all go in the wild, they will not be able to protect themselves from all the environmental hazards or the poachers, so they will perish more easily and quickly. The zoo’s job is to keep animals safe in an enclosed area from the outside where there are many dangers and well away from poachers, so the animals can produce more babies effectively in a well constructed habitat where the can grow up and increase numbers. Moreover is that animals that have been hurt can recover in zoos where there are many provisions they need, care and safety. If they try to recover in the wild, there is a higher chance for them to not strive and die. This is one priority that that
My first reason that zoos should be closed is that animals don’t have anything important to them because zoos take it away. According to peta.org, its says “captive animals are deprived of everything that is natural and important to them, and as a result, the become bored and lonely and may even suffer from a condition called zoochosis.” by the animals being lonely, they can get
Zoos take giant roles to protect animals. In the magazines I read, "The Stripes Will Survive", and "The Zoos Go Wild," and the video that I watched called "Behind the Scenes with the National Zoo's Lion Cubs.", there are ways that they help the animals.
One of the reasons is that animals get hurt in zoos. In the article “13 Zoos Were Bad For Animals” A bear starved to death in the Toledo zoo, this makes me think that maybe they didn't want the bear because they need to be fed a lot, but it is still cruel. Why do they do that? Another example is a zoo killed a 2 year old giraffe and fed it to lions. I have thought about this why would you kill it it was healthy, if it was sick let it heal ,if it was weak
It's important because if the animals would of been kept in the wild then they probably wouldn't of survived. “A zoo provides a protected environment for endangered animals” (Vittana 2). This quote is important because there are several animals which are poached frequently because of certain items. Having a zoo provides these animals with a safer place to live because they are behind multiple levels of protection. Although poachers have been able to break into zoos to take animals in the past, this is not a frequent occurrence and is normally not successful when it does occur.
GRRRRRRRRRR!!ROAR!!SCRATCH!!Their should not be zoos. Animals are stressed out and tourcherd in zoos. Think if that was you in a cage with no room, people looking and laugh at you. Let's examine some things more closely.
In addition, inter-generational bonds are broken when animals are eventually sold or traded to other zoos, and no pen or even drive-through safari can compare to the freedom of the wild (https://www.thoughtco.com/arguments-for-and-against-zoos-127639). Moreover, from an animal rights standpoint, we absolutely do not have the right to breed, capture and confine animals for any reasons simply because we desire to. Being an animal doesn't mean animals have fewer rights. So, unless an animal attempts an attack on humans, I feel animals should roam freely in their natural
Zoos also promote the need for conservation and education opportunities to the public and vets (Lecture 11/13/17). These ethical institutions also have taken in hurt animals and rehabilitate them. During their recovery time, they are put in an enclosure that is close to their natural habitat so their natural habits and activities are promoted. Once the animal is healed, they are returned to the wild to thrive (Lecture 11/13/17). If a species is on the verge of becoming extinct, animals of that species are brought into a controlled environment, a zoo, to raise the numbers of species. After this advanced breeding process, the animals are returned to the
Some animals are kept safer in captivity. The animals are protected from things in the wild like predators and are provided with food that could be scarce in the wild. Other benefits are when animals are endangered and don’t breed naturally;
If you were an animal would you like to be contained in a cage in a zoo, or instead would you want to roam around and be free in the wild? Personally, if I was an animal I would want to be free in the wild; people need to understand that if animals are contained in zoos, they would get lots of disadvantages. For instance, The animal won’t develop hunting or survival skills, or the animal might get zoochosis. Don’t forget zoos can’t provide sufficient space the animal needs.
In the zoo, there are animals who are sick or injured. They live in the zoo to get medical help. The animals might have an injury like a broken leg and in the wild it’s harder to survive. They live in the zoo to get help so they can soon be released back into the wild. The animals might have another issue or sickness that makes
Did you know that many zoos hold conservation projects around the world in order to reintroduce endangered species into the wild? If not, this is just one of the many reasons that zoos are very necessary. Zoos can be very beneficial for the public’s education, and to the environment. These zoos are able to preserve the life of many animals, that would otherwise have gone extinct due to humans destroying their habitats. Some people may argue against zoos by saying that they treat the animals inhumanely, or that the animals can become depressed. While these opposing arguments have some validity, zoos are needed in order to keep alive the ecosystem, to educate the public and provide research for scientists and developers.
Why are zoos taking animals out of the wild? They Are meant to be wild. They take animals out of their natural habitat. I believe that zoos are not good for animals
The animals do not have the ability to hunt or gather their own good because zoo keepers are there to feed and supply general care for them. There have been many cases recently where people have been killed right in front of other bystanders by a zoo animal. So, whenever someone gets killed, people should stop being so quick to say that it was the animals fault. What did you expect to happen when someone “falls” into a tigers’ exhibit? For example, the zoo is supposed to be an entertaining, yet educational attraction. However, the zoo is really a prison for the animals. They are caged in an environment where they do not belong. There is not much land for all of the animals a zoo carries because it has to accompany other animals and species too. Keeping them in an enclosed sanctuary can cause them to suffer from sadness and stress. Many zoos say that they are all for preserving an animal’s life and
Imagine you see enraged species some people love zoos and. some people think it is not right for animals in captivity. In my opinion I think many zoos need a lot of improving and make zoos the animal’s homes.
Have you ever wondered how life would be like living in a zoo? Life can be painful as an animal living in a zoo. Many animals get zoochosis, many aren’t treated correctly, and many animals live longer in their natural habitat. Would you want to have freedom or be in prison your whole life until you die? To animals zoos are the prisons.
