Hero’s Journey Poverty, disease, global warming, this is the year 2017, and the world we currently suffer in. Since the beginning of mankind, we have lived in a world of war and hate. Why have we never done anything to change the way we live? No matter where you go on this earth, there is disease and famine. We see it everywhere we go, even in my small hometown of Laurel Montana. As I have lived her for my whole life of 20 years, I have seen the town thrive and fall. People standing on the street corner begging for spare change, business’ closing their doors because they can no longer afford to be open. What difference can I make? A kid from a small town, in a state that has a small population, who will make the biggest difference this …show more content…
I am still not sure if it’s because the idea is so outlandish, or the manner in which I answered her question. I am a republican, and my journey to the presidency of the United States of America began that fateful day in class. Fast forward 15 years to the year 2032, I have overcome school, poverty, and a lack of skills. I graduated with a degree in law and politics from Princeton. I vowed to be president in 15 years, and I entered the race for the presidency as soon as I was of age. I was able to get campaign funding, and advice from former president Donald Trump. This man was president back in 2017 when I had my idea to become president, he served two terms and made America great again. Despite much disapproval from the nation when he first entered office, when he left, it was practically unanimous that everyone loved president Trump. With Trump on my side, my name was the lead candidate for the republican party. The campaign rolled on, and eventually it was time to vote. The votes came in, and the democrats had barely won.I was not the President. I called for a recount, and to my astonishment, they had found a flaw in the digital voting, and found several states had not counted all their votes. Suddenly, the vote count was ran again, and I came out on top. I am the president of the United States of America. The United States in 2032 is
Could you ever imagine sending your child on a field trip knowing that end purpose was for them to die? GOD sent his only son, Jesus Christ, to earth ultimately for this trip. Desire coming from the flesh of a woman, Jesus Christ is GOD's son. Jesus walked the earth to teach us about his father and how he wished for us to live, so that our souls would be clean in order to reach the pearly gates of heaven.
The “Hero’s Journey” as founded by Joseph Campbell, can be detected in numerous works of literature including Ernest Hemingway’s The Old Man and the Sea, and even in lives of the authors themselves. Ultimately, everyone’s lives are hero’s journeys, including Hemingway himself. Campbell’s “Hero’s Journey” is a way to categorize similar concepts in literature to help classify parts of the story. There are six main phases of the “Hero’s Journey”: the call to action, the answering of the call, the threshold guardians, the crossing of the threshold, the dragon battle and the master of two worlds. The call to action is the invitation the protagonist receives from someone or something to venture into the unknown. The protagonist likely
From what I have learned about the Hero’s Journey, I could relate it to myself as an example in numerous ways. I believe that the day since a person is born until the day they pass away is a hero’s journey. There are different situations that a person has to deal with during their journey of life. During a person’s life, there is always at least a mentor. For me, my mentors are my parents and teachers. The mentor's job is to help and guide the hero. My parents, who act as a mentor to me, provide guidance, direction, and protection. They motivate and support me to see me reach my goals and be successful in our lives. When I am going on a wrong path, they will assist me to put me back on the right path. They teach me different skills in order
There may be a number of transitions into the danger zones within the story, each crossing some threshold and usually with a sense of not being able to go back.

There I was sitting at the table eating what the nuns like to call food what just looked like to me slop I was sitting with my friend Felix. He came across a carrot and it was a full-size carrot he just sat there and stared at it not even touching it if he did not hurry up and I was going to grab it and eat it.
A few months later, I found myself riding with Halt back to his quaint little cottage nestled in the woods. He was teaching me about animal tracks. As our horses tread against the snow that lay on the ground, I noticed a massive print next to the cottage, and Halt said it was a giant boar. A man was lying in the bushes and came out to claim that he had seen the boar first hand, and that it was a mad and destructive one. Halt told him to go to the castle and tell the Baron to gather a group of men so that we can all go hunt the boar in the morning. The next day, I found myself on horseback on the outside of a circle of warriors, and Horace. If the boar were to escape through our circle, I was to chase it down and finish it off with my bow.
Let me tell you a short story about this boy. It was 9 o'clock in the afternoon when his parent asked him what he wanted to be when he grew up, he said with enthusiasm "I want to be a doctor", not knowing what it is. After that we just went about our days. Ten years later, he's a senior in junior high school getting ready to embark on the road where many have failed. He did what he had to do so that he can graduate. Graduation day was here and pretty quickly. His parents said to him, "no more fun and games, you are going to enter high school. All I want from you is to pass your class of high grades , graduate and go on to college to pursue your career to become a doctor." This kid heard a lot of things when it comes to becoming a doctor and
“Over here!” Lori called to her friend, Kayla as she was trudging below the blazing hot Arizona sun. After looking up and seeing Lori, Kayla shouted “Coming!” while jogging happily to greet her best friend. Both girls were looking forward to this get together because they were planning on hiking a new trail through the beautiful desert mountains. “I am so excited!” Kayla exclaimed once Lori caught up to Kayla. Carrying small filled bags with a couple granola bars, water, a hat, a couple of bandages and some sunscreen, you could see the anticipation in their eyes for this fun adventure! Although they didn’t do much research on this trail, they were thrilled for the trip ahead.
On August 3rd, 900, my parents found out they were having a child. They prepared for a
Greg Mortenson 's life as a humanitarian , a climber, and a nurse was very impressive. He was also a founder of the Central Asia Institute (CAI) which builds schools in Afghanistan and Pakistan. He became a hero and was praised for building schools in remote areas. He appeared on the Oprah Winfrey show, Charlie Rose and many other national television programs. He wrote a book entitled "Three Cups of Tea" which has been a best seller for 220 weeks. He was also awarded Pakistan 's Silver Star. Further, President Obama also contributed $100,000 to the CAI. Although Mortenson had been known for the good deeds and received several awards, it was soon discovered that these accomplishments were earned with decrepit and unethical behavior.
Mikhail gave the character Jeanette a harsh vocal quality. It was very realistic since Jeanette is a smoker her vocal cords would be dried out, causing tension in the larynx to create that harsh quality. Also, Mikhail used a pitch that was lower than her habitual pitch. It was impressive how Mikhail was able to keep substation that harsh quality even well singing. The rate that Mikhail said her lines were a little faster than medium, but not too fast. It was never so fast that the audience needed her to slow down, but it was faster than her habitual pace for speaking. Mikhail was able to project loudly in her character voice, so there was no problem hearing her. The problem was that Mikhail’s diction was not always the best and a couple of
I had my Nintendo DS to make it seem like it only took a couple minutes to drive to the water park, my siblings had also brought their own DS’s. Since everybody liked to play Mario Kart, I put it into my DS and set up a race for us to do. They connected to the race and we all played while Mom drove the car. Little did my siblings know, they were not going with us. Mom drove to our grandma’s house and said we were going inside for a couple of minutes.
It was late afternoon when we made camp, I found a rock big enough to put the map on and I sat on the ground with the map on the rock. I was trying to see where we were and how close we are to our destination.
There is an issue on this planet that will define this generation. The issue is climate change. Global warming. A world on the collapse as our oceans are acidified, our air polluted, our forests disappearing, and human rights issues getting worse. It seems that people are not aware of how big climate change actually is. It’s not something that only takes place on the ice caps or in the forests on the far corners of the world. This is an issue that happens here, and now. It’s real. It’s happening.
