Ultimately, higher education leads to a greater mental well-being. I am in support of Students going to college because it leads to individuals being successful in life, helps build and discover knowledge and skills, and open more job opportunities.
A College degree doesn’t only require hard work, but also a lot of money which can lead to conflict. Students might get discouraged to continue with their education because of how much it costs. Having a college education provides the benefits of better job opportunities, higher salaries, and improves

Everybody hopes to be happy in their life. Money isn 't always the answer but relationships and connections are. College is proven to prepare people for life (Hrabowski, 260). The overall well being of an educated person increases compared to a person that 's not. “Research shows that education increases job satisfaction, health, marriage, parenting, trust and social interactions” (Owen-Sawhill, 210). In addition college not only benefits the individual but benefits the society. It is proven that college graduates have a “lower crime rate and higher political participation” (Owen-Sawhill, 210). Personally, although I have not yet graduated college
Going to college and gaining a degree is on my life list as one of the achievements a person needs to attain to be a complete person. Education can take you and me too many places. It can show us new ideas and concepts, It can expand our current ideas. We can read about other cultures and lives. We can imagine other worlds. Going to college can add structure and deeper meaning to our point of view. It can also lead us to have a greater understanding of other people's ideas and perspectives. At College, I want to learn about other cultures, political ideas, theories and concepts. I want to understand and critique at times other people's ideas and at moments have my ideas turned upside down. That's why I want to go to
College is an integral part to be an intelligent and open minded person. Where ever you go everyone believes it the key to be a successful life and career. It doesn’t really matter what you believe the purpose of college is whether you see it as an eye opening experience or as training for the future, it’s up to interpretation. College is really what you make it it’s a place for exploration, even though college prices have skyrocketed in the last couple years. Personally, I believe that college education no matter the cost or what is the gain. It’s worth every dime, sweat, and tears. The reason that someone goes to college is up to the individuals own definition and purpose. It’s a place for personal and professional growth. I believe that
A college education is not needed to succeed in life. Some people that graduate are so in debt that they have to live with their parents. In april, 2013 unemployment rate for college graduates was 3.6% (college education). People say that you are more happy, successful in life and have healthier children. But that is completely wrong. So many people have masters and work in fast food places to try to pay
The benefits of receiving a higher education whether it be an Associate’s, Bachelor’s or Master’s degree are relatively advantageous. A degree can lead to a greater paying job and a superior position within a company. A person becomes better prepared for challenges by earning an educational background. A college education can provide a lifelong opportunity for a potentially secure position.
Furthering your education in this world is important. Going to college is very beneficial to society because it helps the country run smoother. Some reasons people believe everyone should attend college are that college graduates tend to make more income than a non-college attendee, more companies and businesses require you to have a degree to your name to work for them, and you are more likely to have a better health care insurance and retirement plan. But others tend to feel like college is not isn’t worth the time of day. Others who believe in not attending colleges usually have reasons like it takes too long to pay off your student loans and debt, recent college graduates are underemployed or struggle to find work, and many students who attend colleges and universities tend to drop out and wastes their own and government money.
Front my points of view, the benefits of attending college are manifold. According to the U.S Census bureau, a “Bachelor’s Degree holder earns twice as much in a lifetime as a high school graduate”. Even better, there are more job options available to choose from, instead of having limited places in the workforce to work for owing to the fact that we never attended college. Although, not everybody may have the opportunity to attend college at some point, but when opportunity strikes, it can’t be thrown away. Moreover, it is important to further our education, to increase our earnings potential, to increase our knowledge and have a better future.
A large part of college is personal growth (Source X) Coincidentally personal growth also plays a large role in perceived quality of life. Taking this into consideration makes college into more than a machine designed to increase an individual’s level of monetary success. While some may claim those who work in fulfilling jobs that do not require degrees feel more content, (Source X) it is impossible to ignore the way in which colleges, “help students discover what they love to do…” (Source X) HIgher education can ultimately lead to a better emotional quality of life, and this cannot be discounted when weight the value of furthering one’s education.
The Magazine of Higher Learning provide overview of the main arguments in favor of earning a college degree, “College graduates earn significantly larger earnings over a lifetime, have lower unemployment rates, enjoy better health, and higher marriage rates.”
