What is leadership, what does it mean, and how has it been used? Leadership is the action of leading a group or an organization, this is a vital role in any group. If a group is without a leader, the group will surely fall apart, and likely never reach their goal. Leaders are the people who take a stand, the people who fight for change, and the ones who reach for the sky. Today I will go over why Martin Luther King Jr. has been recognized as a great leader, how Walt Disney created one of the best companies to this day, and how their leadership styles compare. Martin Luther King Jr. has been remembered as an excellent leader for many reasons. He fought for equal rights for everyone, at the time African Americans were being discriminated, and were seen as a minority with no power. and Walt Disney have similar yet very different roles as being a leader. Martin Luther King Jr. wanted to make his followers happy by listen to their ideals and help completing their goals as he completed his own. Walt Disney wanted to do something he loved to do, and wanted his followers to enjoy it as much as he did, so he would listen to them for ideas to change the workplace into a better environment. They were both Transformational Leaders, which is a leader who will lead their followers by inspiring them, they appeal to their morals and ideals to help get motivation to accomplish the task. The leaders also listens to their followers ideals and put that into their goals. They both had two very different goals in mind, yet they both used very similar leadership tactics. Although when it started coming to the end of their leadership, Martin Luther King Jr. was still leading his followers as he always was, Walt Disney on the other hand slowly stared changing into an autocratic leader, which is a leader with absolute power and makes all
