I love blades, and Making stuff. When I was a sophomore in high school, we had to do a presentation in english. I had a couple of ideas but the one I wanted to do the most was to show the class how to make a paper sword. It’s not that hard to make the paper sword but it does take a long time to make.I didn't want to get in trouble with bringing a sword to school. I was too scared to ask if I could do a presentation on it for school. The next day I asked the teacher if I could do a presentation on it.. Surprisingly, she said I could. Fortu nately I was in the process of making a paper sword. I just had to finish the outer layer and paint it. For what I wanted to do for the presentation, I did only one side. These paper swords are hard as a
One of the most ideal ways to relax after a demanding day is to pursue a new crocheting project. Something is therapeutic about feeling delicate yarn glide across the fingers as glimmering hook travels from stitch to stitch. Concentrating on nothing other than the ensuing stitch, as patterns emerge allows the mind to become free of burdens. Needlecraft is a timeless craft which gives an inventive outlet to lay aside worry, comforting the mind, body, and soul.
Give each student a pre-cut hat shaped paper. Be sure to have a variety of materials to use such as paper, fabric, wrapping paper, pompoms, and tissue paper that they can glue onto their hat. This is a great way to work on fine motor skills and using scissors, have students work with paper materials first before giving them materials that they will not be able to cut with their scissors.
The Battle School’s method of training the young soldiers appears as brutal, degrading, and unsympathetic. The school has made the students fight against one another and cause them to hate each other. Since their arrival, the students have been forced to compete against one another to earn their place at the top of the food chain. The Battle School has had it in the peoples’ mind that the enemy has and always will be the buggers. None of the students have considered that the Battle School has a malicious system. In any battle or war, all sides share a similar goal- to win. The correct way to win the game and the best tactics to use will always be different. Based on several observations by using their monitors, the school hand picks their soldiers.
Imagine gliding down a city street in Boise, passing all the cars and the people and other boarders. Riding a longboard for transportation is fast, convenient, and fun. Longboards are used for both transportation and sport. The career I’ve chosen is working at a longboard shop, I’d be good at this career and happy working at it because I could help other skaters buy and fix boards. I love longboarding and I know how to tune up longboards. I love they way they are built and the way they work.
In medieval times the knights used many different weapons and they all had their own uses. The tactics they used also cleared what they would use in battle. Before they started a battle a lot of thought went into the battle before they began. For both sides it was a expensive thing to do what made it worth doing was the chance of winning and getting goods and land to make up for their expense. Depending on the role of attacker or defender the expense and tactics were very different. ("Siege Weapons.").
I will introduce the lesson to the children and explain what is a collage. Then, I will show them the art supplies and will demonstrate how they are going to do the art activity. Also, I will explain that we will be tearing and cutting the paper, napkins, and that no one’s art will look the same. To be creative will be our goal. I will observe the children as they are working on their project. After children finish, I would them to share their collages like to ask the questions
The product being evaluated for this paper is the Doodle Pro by Fischer Price, designed for children 3 and up. This product has been available for 42 years, or since 1974 when originally created as the “Magna Doodle” by Pilot Pen Corporation. It was later bought out by Fischer Price, the specific creator is unknown (Freudenrich, 2008). The Doodle Pro contains an attached stylus and 4 different shapes. It works as a magnetic drawing board that has 2 screens with a honey-comb lattice like structure in between the screens that contains finely cut iron. When the stylus touches the screen it draws the iron to the top layer of plastic, where it stays in whatever shaped intended until erased, creating a no-mess chalkboard (Fischer-Price, 2016). It is designed to allow children to explore and practice writing and drawing in a more creative and open way, where it is seen as fun and not work. The product works to mimic an individual writing or drawing normally, the child picks up the attached stylus and draws as they like, and when they are finished with that particular picture they slide the eraser button across the bottom of the screen to clear the picture and start again. To see a visual of the product, Doodle Pro, please refer to Appendix A. This allows for practicing of the essential skills and penmanship, and confidence children will need throughout their lives.
I traveled to Yellowknife to see the northern lights and ice roads. Luckily, it appeared one time. It was -30 degrees Celsius, so cold... But the sight was awesome!
When I was in fifth grade, our school had this little thing called the Wax Museum project. And, if it were not for my teacher guiding me, I would have never learned how to express my creativity, much less would I be here, typing this. In the Wax Museum Project, each person got the name of a historical figure, whom they would, firstly, create a poster board about, and, secondly, give a presentation about in front of other parents. It would work like a wax museum (thus the name), where we would stand still until someone dropped a coin in our jar, when we would speak our presentation. I got William Shakespeare, the well known 16th Century playwright. I did my poster board in a few days, not at all having any creative ideas, so I just got facts
Be prepared. Make sure you have everything (scissors, glue, highlighters, ECT) you need for class. If you do this, you will get your work done
I defiantly see myself using a ready-made carving patterns that you can find in the carving books or using a decal to practice with on scrap wood. I thought that it was common sense that you should cut around the extreme outline of the drawing at first when you have a pattern that chosen
First, I chose to make balloon animals for this project. I chose this because when I was younger my family would go to the restaurant, CPK, every time we went there was a clown twisting balloons. Every time I went I was lured in with his optimism. I would then force my brother to get me a dog or a sword. Then one day
Let me just start off by saying thank you for all you have done for our country. Not only did you sacrifice your mind and body, you sacrificed your life... and for that I thank you again.
I will then have the children get into pairs and describe their worksheets. They will tell their partner where certain shapes are located, what the shape looks like, and their size. Once the students have identified shapes in Frank Lloyd Wright’s artwork and have a solid understanding of shapes and locations. Then the students will get to create their own Frank Lloyd Wright stained glass window out of various art materials.
The Hundred Years War is well know battle from history that most people believe lasted one hundred years, however it actually lasted one hundred and sixteen years. This war was a conflict between France and England and lasted from 1337 to 1453. Each country went through many different reigns of kings during this time period, in fact each country had five different kings who reigned during the time period of the Hundred Years War. The war began in the country of Guienne in the year of 1337 over which country owned the land of Guyenne; the land actually belonged to the kings of England though.
