Roles and responsibilities of teachers in the lifelong learning sector In this section we will begin to consider your work in the lifelong learning sector. As we have seen above, it is a much more diverse sector than the school sector. We will focus on the following two questions: 1 What roles are you expected to fulfil? 2 What are the specific responsibilities and boundaries associated with these roles? When we talk about a ‘role’ most people instantly think of playing a part, or acting in some capacity. A role involves some idea of expected behaviour associated with a position. You will have expectations of the learners or students that you will teach, train, assess or tutor. These may include an expectation that they will study and undergo assessments. When we look at the role of a teacher, trainer, assessor or tutor we find that there is body of agreed expectations associated with these roles. Activity 1.1 What do you expect someone who is a lecturer, teacher, trainer, assessor or tutor in the lifelong learning sector to do? Importance of teamwork is that when a team works well together they tend to understand their team members strengths and weaknesses. Strong teamwork can benefit from the team members and I say this because they become more capable at splitting up tasks so that they are accomplished by the members of the team that are more highly qualified. If businesses didn’t have strong teamwork within their business, it could make everything a lot harder for managers of the business to settle certain staff members, whom can fulfil tasks at their incomparable standard.
The eligibility requirements in the Constitution for members of the Senate are you must be at least 30 years old in age, you must have been a citizen in the US for at least 9 years, and you have to be an inhabitant of the U.S. for at least 14 years not from the state that you originated
The Panel Designer is used to create graphic panels. I used these panels to change the values of discrete and continuous environment variables interactively during the simulation. From the Toolbox and the Symbol Explorer I placed controls and symbols via drag and drop on an open panel. The properties of the selected objects are displayed in a table format which I synchronized with the signal being depicted by the control. This division of all these windows makes the process to configure the panel and its controls virtually dialog-free. A brief description of them are as follows.
The amount of mental processing power needed to absorb new content has a profound impact on a person’s ability to learn.
I will be talking about the different types of teams and the benefits organisation have in when working in a team.
As an educator, it is my role to teach as well as learn. The role of a teacher allows me to experience both Andragogy and Pedagogy. “Andragogy” is “the art and science of helping adults learn "where as “Pedagogy is the art and science of teaching children” (Knowles, 1984, p. 13). In my profession, it is a daily task to teach concepts to children. Children are generally, teacher directed learners meaning, they are always looking to the teacher to guide them in their learning. They seek out answers and need direction to what they will be learning and what activities are provided to solidify the learning concept. This is quite different than the self directed, or the adult learner. According to Caruso (2011), adults learn by performing

Abstract: In this paper I take a look into role theories, but more precisely gender role theories. I cover the basis on how they are formed, who initiates them, how they affect people that do not fit into the “norms”. I see if we as a society can do without them. Different experts in Social Psychology say various things which is examined and processed.

Teaching also involves varied relationships among various individuals. A teacher must know how to work effectively not only with
When the authors describe how roles affect beliefs about self, they are implying that after roles are learned, they become instinctual to perform. Performing a role will become automatic and easy.
Roles are the parts that individuals play in society. Every single human being on earth has their own unique set of roles. There are two kinds of roles, Ascribed, and achieved. An ascribed role, is a role that people are born into, examples include the role of a grand son, or a Canadian. Achieved roles, are roles that a person has to work to acquire, examples include; a teacher, or a politician. Two roles that I currently possess are a university student, and a daughter.
Teaching is not just one way, giving information to students and expecting them to draw from the information! A teacher (to be professional and effective) also needs to know all the different theories, models and learning styles. Embedding models to enable best practice in each session and allow students to absorb valuable information. The tutor is to reflect on each session, for example look at what went well and what didn’t go so well. Differentiating between different students abilities and learning styles. Teachers are constantly reflecting, not only if the students are learning from the tutor but
One implication of my role (Appendix 1) is based on my vast experience working as a teaching assistant (TA) in primary school. I learned that teacher’s role is to facilitate learning, by adapting various roles, strategies and behaviours in ways to have an effective teaching and learning process. According to Mc Rories (2006) …the teacher has a wide range of skills in their teaching repertoires, including questioning, listening, reinforcing positive behaviour,
A role is a set of expected behaviour patterns attributed to someone occupying a given position in a social unit.
