This chapter presents the research findings used to address the research questions presented in Chapter One. To that end, demographic is presented for each of the eighteen school districts studied in rural Kentucky. In addition, statistical analyses is presented as it relates to student success in each of the eighteen school districts at the third grade, the sixth grade, and the eleventh grade levels in the content area of reading. The data examined is from the 2015-2016 school year testing cycle as required by the Commonwealth of Kentucky. The statistical analyses focuses on the relationship between students’ success, based on the results of the Kentucky Performance Rating for Educational Progress data, and superintendent tenure in each of the districts. Regression analyses was applied to determine whether or not a statistically significant …show more content…

Global warming is not myth, but is a real thing. Scientists have proven that over and over global warming is real. According to scientific reports 11 out of 12 years have ranked among the warmest on record. This increase temperature has many effects on the environment. Global warming creates nature?s imbalance and it has big impact on weather. Global warming is big part of the reason for sudden heat waves, storms and floods. There are many causes for global warming, but two main causes are burning fossil fuel and deforestation. Both of these causes increase greenhouse gases in the environment which creates greenhouse effects, the scientific reason for global warming.
Given the highly competitive nature of today’s markets we as a company must provide high quality products to survive. Quality itself has become a major competitive factor and in many ways is a contributing factor in success or failure. The intent of this memo is to identify, explain and evaluate the three types of cost associated with quality.
As we continue to move toward the end our quarterly objectives. I wanted to take the time to explain some of our costs. In our particular field of designing and manufacturing products, we are always engaging in ways that we can mitigate loss and improve our processes. Performing such changes will give a stronger presence in the market by allowing us to remain competitive.
Today, as many as 3.5% of children in the United States are being diagnosed with Conduct Disorders some as early as age three (Perou, et al., 2013). Research has shown that CD is a behavior that predicts Oppositional Defiant Disorder and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder symptoms at age six (Harvey and Metcalfe, 2013).
The National Center for Learning Disabilities (2016) or NCLD was founded in 1977. Based on information provided by NCLD (2016) their mission is to improve the lives of children and adults with learning and attention issues. The National Center for Learning Disabilities (2016) advocates for equal rights and opportunities for the learning disabled community by providing programs and reporting on related issues. The NCLD (2016) website gives access and information on programs that cater to parents, young adults, professionals, and educators about learning disabilities.I appreciate The NCLD (2016) website provides for children and their parents as well as professionals. As a future educator, i welcome any additional resources I can use in the future for my own classroom or even aide another colleague. I especially appreciate the Get Ready to Read program(2016) “a free early Learning Resource” Intended for educators .However I believe, parents can use the Get Ready to Read program(2016) for their own kids who are not yet in school or as a extra teaching tool in conjunction with their children's

This is an assessment about Hickory County, Missouri population. The goal is to assess the effects of disabilities or homeless influences and the health literacy of a population. I choose this County because I have a lot of relative lives in this area, and I have been over this county to visit them so many times. This is a very interesting county for me to do a research on. For an accurate research data, there are several methods have been utilized to obtain assessment data, including media resources, call the county public health department, and run a search of articles from a local newspaper and records.

Data plays an important role in this research. Collecting adequate and accurate data is paramount. Prior to data collection, requirements have to be established on what statistics are required for research. To build an accurate simulation model, each detail within the process has to be captured. Process maps have been put together to capture the patient flow and understand resource utilization as various types of patients use different resources for statistically variable amount of time.
I would advise Carolyn to study the makeup of our changing nation and evidence of this as seen in our neighborhoods. She should make an effort to learn more about the new cultural groups moving into the community and school so that she is informed and better able to serve the changing community. It’s not enough just to know which groups comprise the community, but she should learn the customs and provide communication in different languages as well. However, it’s not just Carolyn that needs to make this effort, her staff needs to do the same and purposely include all groups within the school atmosphere. The knowledge that the school leaders are willing to make an extra effort to learn about different cultural groups, new students, and their
Having identified all the above challenges and illnesses, the following goals have been formulated to help improve the health condition of the patient.
In order to evaluate the improvements from these interventions, the baseline chart review was compared to a chart review conducted 2 weeks after the project initiation. Results indicated that documentation became more detailed, objective and factual and hand-offs reports also became standard with incorporation of Kardex and reflected increased accuracy.
Parents and job-seeking teachers looking to move into a new area look for certain school systems that will cater to their child’s as well as their personal needs. A few important factors that can support the growth or hinder the performance of any
Longitudinal data collections serves three purposes to (1) monitor educational reform policies, (2) capture data on students from kindergarten through college, and (3) monitor teacher’s performance (State Longitudinal Data System, n.d. para. 3). If teachers base their instructional decision making on longitudinal data, then they should be literate in statistical data analysis because “growth models can be complex and difficult for non-statistician to understand” (“Teachers Ability….” 2011 pg. 24; “Measuring Student Growth:” n.d. pg. 8). For instance, some of the literacy skills needed to be effective include properly reading histograms, analyzing score distribution, the effect of outliers, limits on generalizability, understand measurement
