QUALITY MANAGEMENT
The PMBOK defines Project Quality Management as the process and activities of the performing organisation that determines the quality policies, objectives and responsibilities so that the project will satisfy the needs for which it was undertaken. Project management addresses the management of the project and deliverables of the project. Quality measures and techniques are specific to the type of deliverables being produced by the project.
The basic approach to quality management is intendant to be compatible with International Organisation for standardisation (ISO) quality standards which highlights the following seven quality management principles:

Another output, the Process Improvement Plan, is one of the four subsidiary plans that make up the Project Management Plan. The quality metrics and quality checklists are also valuable inputs to the other two quality processes.
Quality assurance
Quality assurance is the system process of defining, implementing and reviewing the management process within a company in order to provide adequate confidence that the product will be consistently manufactured to the required quality or condition. PMBOK defines Quality Assurance (QA) as the process of evaluating overall project performance on a regular basis to provide confidence that the project will satisfy the relevant quality standards.
Quality Assurance Aims
The aims of QA are the standardisation and auditing processes to help ensure that products and services meet client expectations, that work is done right the first time, and that a culture of continuous improvements is introduced, all of which give added value to the product and associated benefits to the office in terms of reaping economic gain.
