Motivation is a very strong tool we can use to get further in life and to achieve our dreams and goals. Setting goals for ourselves is something that I consider to be very important, I believe in always pushing myself further and further in life, not only physically but mentally as well. We all have different things or tools we can use to motivate us towards our end goals. In order for us to stay motivated we have to have a goal and be driven towards achieving that goal.
For me, self-motivation is empowering. Finding something that I enjoy and love to do and setting the final goal of achieving it. My main goal that I have set right now is to work towards finishing my degree. My motivation behind this is to be able to get a better job and

I am learning to take each assignment and task one at a time. Simply complete what the task at hand is and then move on to the next. I feel by doing so, I will be able to complete my degree along with knowing that I have faith in myself to push myself and motivate myself along the way.
By going back to school and getting my degree I am opening up potentially lots of doors for myself in the future. I am setting a good example for my boys and that no matter what age you are, it is never too late to go back to school and further your education. Education is the key to opening up positions in the workplace that someone without an education would not be able to pursue. The benefits will far out way the time and work that it will take for me to complete my degree. This will be something that I can be proud of and prove to myself and others that no matter how hard the goal may seem or how long it may take you to reach the end results, it is always worth it to follow your dreams. I am extremely motivated to accomplish this goal for myself.
Motivation is the key to succeeding our goals and dreams. You can do anything that you set your mind to as long as you continue to motivate yourself and others around you. Keeping a positive attitude and having an end goal in mind to work towards, you will be able to find the motivation
Motivation is having a reason or reasons to act/behave in a particular way. It creates “drive” in people whether it is in pursuit of a goal, or the need to complete an activity. It produces enthusiasm and a willingness to achieve in both a work environment and in your personal life. Motivation can be increased and decreased in line with the incentives on offer.
people to gain a mindset to achieve a goal that leads to the future of success in a career. Without out a goal made you will end up running in a repeating path as they go through life. A goal in mind is required to achieve a successful life. In my path to become a well educated I plan to pursue a career as a Registered Nurse.
I chose motivation as my construct because I am very curious at what drives people and keeps them on track to reach goals, deadlines, and thing of this nature. Motivation of course is not something that can be measured, nor could it possibly measured accurately. First motivation can be defined in multiple ways to different people. Internal and external influences that fuel desire and energy in people to be continually involved and faithful to a job, role or subject, or to make an effort to attain a goal. Motivation results from the interaction of both conscious and unconscious factors such as the strength of desire
Motivation. My definition of motivation is that burst of energy you feel because you know you're doing something for a reason, or that feeling that wakes you up every morning and pushes you to withdraw from your bed and start your day. My motivations are my mother, my niece, and my future. My mom works persistently and strenuously for me to have whatever I need, so in return I try to work even harder to help me be the best I can be. With the most love, my niece is such a ray of sunshine, she is the happiest, most joyful little girl ever; she is my world and I wouldn’t trade her for anything. My niece is my motivation because she helps me realize that I do want children in the future and I want them to have the best life that I can give them
The reason I have decided to return to school and continue my education is to show myself, family, and friends that I want to better myself personally and professionally, by setting goals through your life. It helps keep you mentally and physically sharp because you are always setting and obtaining goals. I want to show my collage aged daughter that regardless of your age you can set and obtain goals while working a full time jab and maintaining a house hold.
Self motivation is being able to do something for the sake of yourself, not others. You can use this to push yourself to an extent you've never thought of going before. In the article “Strategies for helping students motivate themselves,” by Larry Ferlazzo, he states, “providing students with freedom of choice is one strategy for promoting learner autonomy.” This can help students become independent. another statement that stood out to me was, “be positive and encourage a growth mind set.” A bit of positivity and encouragement can go a long way when it comes to self motivation. My self motivation is not as strong as it should be. It can help me want to do better and not rely on others for my
In order to ever accomplish something if it is going up the stairs, or getting to college they all have one thing in common. What is it? Motivation. Without it you couldn't do anything you wouldn't have the will to accomplish anything no matter how small. everyone has some kind of motivation in them if it is their parents, wanting more in life or just pure determination.
Motivation is based on the will to continue and achieve some means to an end. Whether it would be to wake up in the morning or to finish a doctorate in medical biology, motivation does exist. It exists for all of us and here is the response I can give for ‘what are my motivations.’
When setting a goal, it's important to understand that it will take time to reach it. One thing that will help you get through that time of waiting to achieve your goal, is a "motivation". A motivation is something that
I’ve come to embrace the idea of living for the process, and not for the destination. In order to do what you have to do goals must be set and achieving them is your chose. That will only result in a higher target if you continue your growth. This feeling of achievements is the one that makes me keep going on even in the hardest times. The knowledge that the school is giving off makes want to continue learning. I was thinking school was going to be something bad but it actually turned out to be something great. Going to school makes me want to create, and makes me want to share all the things I find I am also motivated when I feel I can accomplish something and get self-satisfaction. I want to be become better at what and also want to help other. My motivation is to become a leader in nursing. I will go the extra mile to succeed and also expand myself to work harder. My theory will come from drive reduction I’m motivated with this theory because it is a desire for me to do something I love to do. I feel like it’s a need for me because I want to make sure my daughter have the best and never have to want for anything. Im going to make sure I have to do everything to meet my
Sometimes it’s easier for someone else to motivate a person than for that person to motivate themselves, but I believe the theory discussed in the book “MIND OVER MOOD” that a person has to change the way they think in order to change how they feel. If they change their perspective on things their motivations will change too. Motivation to me is this - setting goals, hammering into your mind to finish what you’ve started, associating with motivated people and positive thinkers, and being persistent and patient.
Motivation can come from two sources, from inside of you and from outside of you. It can come from your hopes and expectations. It is from your desire to do something or to be someone, but not everyone is highly
In a small part, every aspect of my life motivates me to strive for my dreams. My family; parents, brothers, sisters, cousins, nephews and nieces motivate me and push me harder to achieve my goals and aspirations. Me being the first in my family to graduate high school, and enter into college is a tremendous amount of pressure. I want to be able to prove to them that they can reach their dreams no matter how old or young, if they are determined. Mainly, I want to show them that everything is obtainable if you work for it. My boyfriend motivates me to be the best verision of myself that I can be, we both chose to go to SFA together, after I stated I wasn’t interested in going to college. He motivates me to be better, faster, stronger and more determined. He teaches me to set high goals and reach them. Lastly, my coworkers motivate me to continue to improve my already strong work ethic. As their manager, they depend on me to teach them how to succeed in our work environment. Having people look up to me motivates me to no end. I love to set examples and be a leader to show people anything is possible.
‘Motivation’ is derived from the Latin term ‘movere’ that means ‘to move’. Thus, motivation is a process that starts with a physiological or psychological deficiency or need that activates a behaviour or a drive that is aimed at a goal or incentive (Luthans). Broadly speaking, motivation is willingness to exert high levels of efforts towards organizational goals, conditioned by the efforts’ ability to satisfy some individual needs (Robbins). Need means some internal state that make certain outcomes appear attractive. An unsatisfied need creates tension that stimulates drives within the individual. These drives generate a search behaviour to find particular goals, that if attained,
Motivation is one of the most discussed topics in the present era’s organisations, especially since renowned psychologists like Maslow and Herzberg are dedicating their efforts to understanding it. Companies are investing a significant amount of resources in improving productivity in order to maximise profits. One of these important resources is of human nature. In order to get the very best out of employees, some motivational approaches need to be used. But what is motivation and how do I successfully motivate? I will try to relate one of my personal experiences with a friend to some of the most influential motivational theories. After introducing my story and making a definition of motivation I will address the ideas of Taylor,
