To address all these different learning styles I use a range of teaching methods. At the start of a training session I use an ice-breaker to let the students introduce themselves and it also gives me a chance to guage the depth of their knowledge. I then give my aim of the session and explain my objectives.
It is practical to assume that students will perform better in tasks that reflect their particular style of learning, so knowledge of students’ learning styles, including a variety of tasks will make teaching more inclusive. A learning style questionnaire could be handed out at the start of a course which, once completed will inform the teacher about the learning styles of the students.
I believe that Martin Luther King Jr. captured the fundamentals of teaching when he said, “The function of education is to teach one to think intensively and to think critically.” My goal as a teacher is to allow the students to apply what they learn in the classroom to the outside world. I believe students learn best when they are motivated to learn. If the students are not interested in the material presented, they will not remember any of the information that is being taught. Not all class work needs to be a game or a good time. However, students who see school as a place where they can have fun will be more motivated to pay attention and do the work that’s required of them. An interactive classroom environment is also essential for effective learning. Knowing their particular learning styles(s) should encourage student/patient self-enhancement. It is also important for each individual be not only knowledgeable of their learning preferences but to practice other styles to enhance their learning abilities. It is believed this encourages well rounded education and learning.
Next, I would ask the educator if she has any strategies specifically on the preferred learning style(s) that she would want me to try first. In the mean time, I would research on my own time, how other educators have found ways to teach the preferred learning style(s) in language art and math skills, and fun activities to help the students learn in a fun way. I want to be able to identify them quicker and be able to use methods that appeal to their learning styles specifically. I believe that this can be accomplished through practice. Last semester I started to see a difference in how I approached each individual student. After becoming aware of how students learn differently, I saw myself seeking clues to tell me how they are thinking about each problem. As long as this doesn’t lead to putting students in boxes before getting to know them completely, I believe by the end of the semester I will be able to recognize and help students of differing learning styles more efficiently.

Understanding learning styles is recognizing the best way for all students to learn. This is different for all students. Learning styles goes beyond multiple intelligences and building upon strengths. Learning styles is simply put in the question of how do you learn best? Learning styles include structure of lesson, sociological, auditory, visual, and tactile. Also, it encompasses environmental factors such as formal vs. informal settings, noise vs. quiet, temperature, brightness, kinesthetic, and mobility. It is vital for teachers to recognize the learning styles represented in the classroom in order to accommodate for the best opportunity for learning. Furthermore, students should be able to recognize their own learning styles in order to address their own needs when applicable.
In my classroom, the purposes and goals of education are to develop a student's knowledge and skills for life. Also, to create well-rounded students, and to raise the bar of student understanding. The role of a student in education is to be involved in their own learning, to ask questions when there is a lack of understanding, and to work to the best of their ability in school. The role of the teacher is to be someone the students can trust and feel like they can talk to. But can engage students in learning, and be understanding of the student's different circumstances.
