Primary research is used to find the needs of the individuals and to collect new data through survey, interviews with individual carer or group of staff members in their workplace or via telephone, email, message.
Secondary research is done to research the data collection through the study of information which has already being researched from the hospital websites, articles, discharge and intake records or through primary research.
Primary research gives more accurate result then secondary result. It cost a lot as you should research everything yourself or should hire a person. Primary research takes long time to come to conclusion while secondary research takes short time and are easy to research. Primary research is based on raw data and

Qualitative research is not measured accurately as the research is done by interviewing or observation.
Quantitative research is done to find the accurate facts by evaluating the problems like opinion, behaviour by using numerical data. This research is based on theories, hypothesis, collecting, analysing the data to make the research accurate.
Qualitative research is flexible written form their results are ongoing and their conclusion can be changed while quantitative research is numerical, reliable, specific, data are collected by statistical analysis due to which quantitative are more accurate. Qualitative research uses open questions to find the depth of the information while quantitative research uses closed question, secondary data or experiments due to this it lacks the depth of the information and neglect the effect of the individuals which could be service provider, service users or other staff members.
Questionnaire is set of questions which could be written or multiple choice question given to the individuals or groups to find the factual information.
Interviews involves the direct questions or formal questions asked to the participants to get jobs, college and
Secondary research methods include analyzing and gathering existing literature on the researchers topic. Secondary research methods can be challenging because the existing literature might not address the researchers questions directly and it might not be current or valid. An advantage to secondary research methods is that it is quick and low cost. The data needed to analyze has already been collected and ready to use. Secondary research methods also might only work for specific topics where the data is cannot be collected ie. Government data.
In our Questionnaire we used most of these techniques. We made the respondent answer the questions in the form of Circling or entering the number and by ticking a box. We also made use of pre coding questions in our questionnaire which basically asks the respondent to tick a number to answer the question.
Primary Research is where you get information by yourself, like getting information from my client, like a person (like a parent, GP Health Professional or Carters Green Medical Centre’s practise manager) is interviewing my client they’ll information from my client’s face to face, which is primary information.
Primary research is the closest form of information to the topic or idea being studied. The information is not changed by other researchers, and is a true account that can be easily interpreted by the researcher. Unchanged data is also more reliable and accurate, especially for history subjects, but primary research takes a longer time to carry
Quantitative research is to find a way to solve the problem as result generating numerical data or data that use as statistical data. This type of research is used to look at the attitudes, opinions, and behaviours and
It is a government organisation that provides secondary data, which is information that somebody else has already collected. Secondary data can provide a starting point for market research and save time and money in developing the marketing strategy.
Primary research is any type of research that you collect yourself. There are many ways to do so such as surveys and questionnaires, interviews, observations, focus groups and participating in internet forums.
The difference in data from qualitative research and data from quantitative research is found in their root words, quality and quantity. Qualitative research data is the opinions of a certain group. This research also captures the why, would, and how the target audience react to certain issues, situations, and/or products. The data is really useful and in-depth and used primarily by focus groups and interviews.
Firstly, what is qualitative research and how does this differ from qualitative research? According to Smith “Qualitative analysis is concerned with describing the constituent properties of an entity” whereas “Qualitative analysis is involved in determining how much of the entity there is” (Smith et al., 2008 p.1)
Survey research is often quantitative, although it can also be qualitative depending on the type of questions asked. Quantitative research tends to be numerical-based and structured, for example, statistics. Whereas,
At the surface qualitative and quantitative research appears to have a lot of similarities, but qualitative has many distinct characteristics from quantitative research. Depending on the research questions and methods of collecting data will have an impact on which method is most appropriate (Choy, 2014). Qualitative Research is applied in specific disciplines by testing a theory developed from the research and quantitative research applied by building on an existing theory (Allwood, 2011; Choy, 2014). When collecting data, qualitative research relies on the interpretation of information collected from surveys, interviews, narratives (Allwood, 2011; Choy, 2014). Quantitative Research data is collect from instruments designed to produce numeric data or statistics (Allwood, 2011; Choy, 2014). When interpreting data collected in a qualitative research one is ?searching for themes? while quantitative research, analyses the data
Primary research is defined as factual data, first-hand accounts of the study written by a person who was involved in the study. The methods may vary on how researchers run an experiment or study, but it typically follows the scientific method. One way you can think of primary research is that it is stereotypically original research. Research isn’t just for
Primary research is the process of collecting first-hand data and is designed to answer specific questions that the business might have and it is gathered directly from the market with observation, surveys, focus group, e-marketing, panels and field trials.
Several academics have attempted to ascertain the differences between qualitative research and quantitative research. Hair et al. (2007) for example emphasized the main differences stating that quantitative data are measurement in which numbers are used directly to represent the characteristics of something, thus, the number related records lends itself to statistical analysis. While qualitative data represents descriptions of things that are made without assigning numbers directly. This method is architecture to facilitate better understanding of people, understand the culture and social perspective of people (Myers, 2009). The following differences were emphasized by Saunders et al. (2009) and Hair et al. (2007):
Primary research is a research in which a research will have to conduct themselves, for instance, surveys and interviews. This form of research is important to the academic cultures because they created and conducted their own experiment. The results from the experiment are their own fresh new findings that no one has tempered with.
