The ideal acquaintance we have with each other is through respect. If we were to respect someone and their property then you’ll get the other person's respect. Respect is the mightiest of all rewards with a thirst of happiness relying on a few compliments. Compliments are the source of respect, it's the pathway of new faces that create a smile. Everyone's joy is upscaled when they get a compliment. Respect is the admiration of one’s abilities, qualities and achievements. I believe most people don't cherish their achievements rather than uphold their abilities to someone else. The respect you gain are driven from you’re qualities. The qualities you perform during an event, a meeting and a argument are delicate pieces that connect to gain one's
Respect is an important element in effective communication, and the development of a relationship. Actively listening to another person’s point of view or opinion, remembering personal details, showing an interest and responding in an appropriate manner, all show that you have listened and placed importance upon what has been said, which leads to positive relationships and respectful, effective communication.
It is admiring someone because of their superiority, their achievements, their knowledge, and overall the kind of person they are. When looking to respect someone, we make an overall evaluation of that person. We value them by their traits. Respect is what separates humans from animals. Without respect, everyone would put their opinion in, and not trust other’s ideas and thoughts. The younger generation of people are expected to respect their elders because they are wiser and more experienced. People also show respect to the ones that help them achieve their goals and ambitions. Employees show respect to their employers. Athletes show respect to their trainers, coaches, referees, and fellow teammates. Students show respect to their teachers. One could also respect politicians, scientists, doctors, and
There are many forces at work that keep organizations, society, and mankind in general operating. These can range from the moral basis of the said organization or civilization, to logistic and financial structure, to the motivation and views of the people in it, the policies of the leader or leaders, as well as their finesse and charisma, all the way to the traditions and customs that make the organization stand out uniquely and its people proud to be a part of it. Those are just a few as there are many, many more, probably too numerous to name. But one force and concept holds most, if not all, of the others together to give any true organization its life and soul. That concept is respect.
My family was sitting at the kitchen one day just talking when someone brought up the subject of respect. At that time I didn’t know the definition of respect, but it is a way of treating or thinking about something or someone. I asked what respect was.
Respect is the act of being kind and having manners. “People resent not being respected, and a resentful attitude is never conducive to productivity.” (Lipmann, V. (2014, January 15). Why Respect Is Crucial To Management Success. Retrieved April 06, 2016, from http://www.forbes.com/sites/victorlipman/2014/01/15/why-respect-is-crucial-to-management-success/#2ad12be16178). More than likely employer automatically will not hire you or even fire you when you lack much or respect. Being distrustful can invent problems that make it hard to get a job done and build tension between workers and buyers. When performing respect you should provide consideration, approach another with positive attitudes, and demonstrate genuine interest in thoughts or values. In life I’ve learned giving respect will get you a greater insight on your personality. I feel respect is a great character in everyday life. I was raised with respect so my family uses it throughout the home. For example if someone is watching TV the respectful thing to do is step out the room to talk on the phone. By doing this I am providing
As one of my characters counts respect means a lot to me, it hits a big impact on my life cause, that is how my parents taught us, me and my sister, to respect people. Respect for me has to be earned. To me when people walk up to me and treat me with respect, they earned my respect. I treat people with a lot of respect like my parents, my elders, my teachers, my coaches, everyone that has a big impact on my life earned
We were always taught that you were to treat others with respect and they would do the same to you. We were always taught that as long as you tried you would do good. We were always taught that there were no bad people in school. But, not all people have the same definition of respect. Not all things will work out the way you want the first time and not everybody can be your friend.
By dictionary definition, respect means ‘A feeling of deep admiration for someone or something elicited by their abilities, qualities, or achievements’, but it’s not always achieved through positive methods. There are the positive ways of gaining respect, and there’s also negative ways of gaining the respect of someone or a group of people. Being a reliable person is one way of earning the respect of others. Another way is by doing something as simple as treating others with respect. On the other hand, doing something that many people wouldn’t agree with will make you lose respect. To gain respect, one can be a reliable person and give others respect, and one can lose the respect by doing something many wouldn’t agree with.
I believe that respect is the most important value to have in a happy life. Now respect has many different aspects to it; probably more than any one person can think of. So, I don’t claim to cover them all. Of the ones I could think are four big ones: authority, the environment, and each other’s diversities. Yes, you can count (no matter how bad at math you may claim to be), that was only three. The fourth is the most important, but I’m going to keep it a secret until you learn what I mean about the other three; just keep it in the back of your mind until then. Let’s start with the first you probably faced in life, authority.
The concept of respect isn’t automatic, rather it is earned. A person doesn’t automatically gain respect from everyone they meet. A person needs to acquire respect for oneself, in order to distribute respect. This was stated excessively well by Fyodor Dostoyevsky.
Over the latter parts of my 18-years of existence I have gotten pretty good at people watching. Therefore, I have become prone to know who I respect and those I don’t. The way one speaks, acts, and obeys has a strong influence on how they will be first viewed. First impressions are very important and if one is saying mean things, lashing out, or disrespecting my view of said person will more than likely be negative. Overall, respect is a characteristic that is not simply received but gained.
Respect is earned through hard work and dedication, and should be given to keep society running smoothly. However, respect is more than leaving someone alone or not saying anything negative when someone voices their opinion. It can be considered a form of consideration of someone. Consideration comes in many colors for different people. For example, a pregnant cancer patient must respect her own life while also considering the life of her unborn child (Jeannie). One would have to understand and respect how difficult the decision would be for such a terrible situation and the pregnant patient would know the saddening fate for either her or her child. Understanding someone and their little joys in life can also show how a person truly is and how they are as people, which can lead to them earning respect from others (Chuck).
Respect can be demonstrated in simple ways, such as treating others with courtesy, politeness, and respecting the culture of others. Taking the time to listen to what others have to say, and encouraging opinions and ideas. When you listen, you can also incorporate the ideas of others and use those ideas to improve your work or project. You help employees know that you understand them, and will implement that idea among other employees. This influences collaboration. Respect should be used among all individuals no matter the religion, gender, size, age or country of origin. With respect, the will be a harmonious relationship between co-workers and staff of other positions. Negative attitudes such as criticizing, rumors the grapevine, that insult others should be avoided. In the workplace there is observed to be
The concept of ‘Respect’ is very difficult to state because there are many ways that a person can look at it. Many Americans look at respect in several different ways:
Respect can mean treating ourselves and others with consideration, care and esteem. To show respect means to have regard for other peoples’ feelings and to treat them with dignity.it nurtures a culture of trust, honesty and happiness
