Have you ever wanted to know who was responsible for the sinking of the titanic? well I’m going tell you because this is the biggest boat crash with the most fatalities in history. Why should you care? Because I have a theory about the sinking of the titanic. I believe that captain smith was the person who was responsible for the sinking of the titanic because of multiple reasons. One of the reasons I think captain smith is responsible is because of the iceberg warning thing. One iceberg warning is ok to ignore because he sent people to look for it, but when he ignores seven I thinks that’s the limit because not only are you getting one your are getting six more and means there is a serious ice problem when you get seven. Another
Why did the Titanic sink? Who’s to blame for this imprint on the timeline of humanity? How could the guilty let this happen? All of these questions could be answered with one man, Captain Edward J. Smith. As Ballard’s Exploring the Titanic says, “(Captain Smith) was a natural leader and was popular with both crew and passengers… thirty-eight years’ service with the White Star Line… had an excellent safety record.” This seems like the guy you would want to captain a great ship like the Titanic, and at first he was. But, as the ship’s voyage progressed he started to forget his duties and take this trip as some getaway time for himself to enjoy. This idea of his endorsed his mind until he only visited the bridge every couple hours. When the iceberg
Have you ever wondered who sank the Titanic? Captain Smith was responsible for the sinking of the Titanic because he put the ship in full speed, he was ignoring the ice warnings, and there were no warnings for the people at the iceberg sighting.
The sinking of the Titanic is one most well-known shipwreck in modern day history and it's still being written and told about even a century later. The causation of the sinking has been debated heavily since the crash in 1912 and many so-called experts of the titanic disagree with another on this issue. There has been new development when the ship was discovered in 1985 and examined by experts. Leading people that the sinking was caused by three major turning points. The first being the failures of White Star Line who manufacture the ship starting in 1909. The second being the crew of the ship that had some very serve flaws in the plan of action leading up to the disaster. Lastly the passengers who had enough time to prepare before the
On April 14, 1912 what was known as one of the safest ships, the titanic, sank.
Although many people believe captain smith is responsible for the sinking of titanic prior to all of the Research I did I would also believe that Captain Smith is ultimately responsible. Many people reported that Captain Smith is responsible because seven ice
After returning, Smith quickly found out about the plan and fought to prevent it from happening. The boat began to sink and this caused the death of Captain Kendall.
On the contrary, some may say that Joseph Bruce Ismay is innocent and Stanley Lord, captain of SS Californian, is mostly at fault. They say that because the SS Californian was 19 miles away from the Titanic when it hit the iceberg, they were sending large white lights in the sky and radio calling Stanley. Well they are wrong. They are wrong because Stanley Lord’s ship was surrounded by ice and tried contacting the Titanic.
On the night of April 14, 1912, the Titanic hit an iceberg and sank to the bottom of the ocean. I believe the events that happened that night were all due to what Bruce Ismay did. Mr. Ismay ordered the Titanic to go full speed, he lowered the bulkheads so he could fit more people on the ship, and he ordered to take out lifeboats so that there could be more rooms for people on the ship. You could argue that it’s Captain Smith’s fault, but he didn’t do as many wrongs as Bruce Ismay did. All in all, Bruce Ismay was the biggest contribution to the Titanic sinking.
According to the article “R.M.S. Titanic” by Hanson W. Baldwin, at 9:00 A.M. on April 12th, as the Titanic was smoothly sailing across the Atlantic, a message came in from the Caronia, a steamship. “...Westbound steamers report bergs growlers and field ice…”. This was the first of a series of messages spanning two days that warned the Titanic of an ice field to the west. All of the messages were ignored. On the night of April 14th, the Titanic barrelled into the ice field. One of the lookouts, Fredrick Fleet, called out “Iceberg! Right ahead!” But by this point, it was too late. As Baldwin described it “...the iceberg’s jagged claw had ripped a three-hundred-foot slash in the bottom of the great Titanic.”
On April 14,1912 a great ship called the Titanic sank on its maiden voyage. That night there were many warnings of icebergs from other ships. There seems to be a conflict on whether or not the warnings reached the bridge. We may never know the answer to this question. The greatest tragedy of all may be that there were not
Captain smith ignored the iceberg warnings. In the text it state, “...did not slow his ship when ice was reported directly in his path…”(BBC Captain Smith) In the text it also states,” He failed to heed ice warnings…” (BBC Captain Smith) This evidence proves that Captain Smith “unnecessarily added at least 500 names to the list of dead”(BBC Captain Smith) by ignoring the ice warnings because he didn’t slow the ship and did not concern the ice warnings.
2:20 A.M. on April 15, 1912 one of the greatest ships sank it was named The Titanic.
The Titanic event was a disaster and tragedy, but it could’ve been prevented somehow. That’s why someone caused this horrible thing to happen. So if someone caused who? Well, here’s who I think could've done it.

Have you ever heard of the Titanic. Well, if you have then you were probably told that it’s unsinkable. Who ever told you lied to you. Frank, Isabella, and I were all related and were on the Unsinkable Titanic to enjoy the boat trip. After all it wasn’t so enjoyable. On April 15, in the early morning the titanic sank. We all heard a big, SCREECH, and everyone went crazy. Thank goodness we all survived. We wanted to get away from home and not have to go see all the brats at school for awhile so we decided to take a vacation. It was fun in the beginning and it ended up interesting and scary.
