Vulgate

Litera occidit, spiritus autem vivificat—The letter killeth, but the spirit quickeneth.

Qui non laborat, non manducet—If any does not work, he shall not eat.

Vanitas vanitatum, et omnia vanitas—Vanity of vanities, all is vanity.

Ventum seminabant et turbinem metent—They were sowing the wind, and they shall reap the whirlwind.
