Samain, Albert Victor (sä-ma‘). A French poet; born at Lille, in 1858; died in 1900. His volumes of verse include: ‘Le Jardin de l’Infante’ (1893); ‘L’Urne Penchée’ (1897); ‘Aux flancs du Vase’ (1898); ‘Le Chariot d’Or’ (1901).
