André de La Vigne (c. 1457c. 1527)
La Vigne, André de (lä-vēn’). A French poet (1457–1527). He accompanied Charles VIII. to Naples, and told the story of the march in verse. He also wrote a ‘Mystery-Play of Saint Martin,’ and several minor poems; among them a sonnet in the Lombard dialect, the first sonnet written by a Frenchman.
