Constantin Negruzzi (1808–1868)

Negruzzi, Constantin (nā-gröts’ē). A Romanian poet and prose-writer; born in Jassy, 1808; died there, 1868. He wrote many verses and plays, the historical poem ‘Aprode Purice,’ and the historical sketch ‘Alexander Lepusneanu.’ His best verse is in the volume entitled ‘Youthful Sins.’
