Teleki, József, Count (tel-ek’ē). A Hungarian statesman and historian; born Oct. 24, 1790; died at Pesth, Feb. 16, 1855. His principal work is ‘The Period of the Hunyads in Hungary’ (5 vols., with 3 supplementary vols. of documentary matter, 1852–55).
