Daniel Parish Kidder (1815–1891)

Kidder, Daniel Parish. An American descriptive writer; born at Darien, NY, 1815; died at Evanston, IL, 1891. He was a missionary to Brazil, and very active in the Methodist Episcopal Church; was editor of the Sunday School Advocate. He wrote: ‘Mormonism and the Mormons’ (1844); ‘Sketches of a Residence and Travels in Brazil’ (2 vols., 1845).
