Emilio Frullani (1808–1879)

Frullani, Emilio (frö-län’ē). An Italian poet; born at Florence, 1808; died there, Oct. 24, 1889. He holds honorable rank among contemporary Italian lyrists. He is a master of elegiac verse; many of his threnodies on the death of friends—above all, the one entitled ‘The Three Souls’—are admirable. His poems are collected in two volumes: ‘Verses’ (1863); ‘New Verses’ (1874).
